The publisher wanted to launch Marc Hess’s new novel, THE GILLESPIE COUNTY FAIR, at a big city Barnes & Noble where they would undoubtedly sell more books, but he insisted on Wolfmueller's Books. Why?? Because he shops locally and supports local Kerrville businesses. The iconic Kerrville bookstore, Wolfmueller’s Books is one of the last independent bookstores in the Texas Hill Country. Small town bookstores are a tough business model in the day of Amazon yet Wolfmueller’s plays an important role in Texas Literature. It has inspired Doug and provided him with research material over the years he was working on his book.
• So, join us Friday, May 3 after work between 4 and 6 for the national release of this chef d’oeuvre of Hill Country Fiction.
