UPDATE: MAY 4, 2020
Dear Patients:
We continue to hope that all our patients and their families are doing well.
Hill Country Audiology Service has taken the necessary measures, as recommended by the State of Texas and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), that will allow us to address the hearing care needs more fully for all our patients. As of today, we are scheduling in-office appointments for hearing evaluations, consultations, check-ups, cleanings, and adjustments. Patients (and others) coming into the office will be asked to do the following:
1. Mask: ALL persons should be wearing a mask when entering the office.
2. Hand Washing: BEFORE approaching the front desk, proceed to the rest room to wash your hands.
The primary goal for all persons is to reduce the chance of being exposed to COVID-19. To achieve this objective, we highly suggest that patients adhere to the following:
1. Self-Quarantine: If you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, headache, sore throat, or loss of small/taste, it is best to impose a self-quarantine and to contact your primary physician right away, especially if symptoms are worsening. If you (or someone in your home) are experiencing these symptoms and you have an upcoming appointment with our office, we ask that you contact our office to reschedule to a later date.
2. Minimal Contact with Others: Although we are now seeing more patients, our staff will remain mindful to minimize contact between patients. We are also asking patients to limit the number of people that accompany them to their visit to the office. Lastly, we are mindful to keep your waiting room time to a minimum.
3. Curbside Service: For patients needing services that do not require their presence in the actual office, we are continuing to offer “curbside service” for such things as routine check-up appointments, hearing aid cleanings and repairs, and the purchase of supplies. If you would like curbside assistance, please call the office before your arrival just to be sure there is someone available to assist you. This is particularly true for our Fredericksburg office. Someone will be able to address your needs while you wait in your vehicle.
Any further actions or changes will be relayed through email and our page.
Above all, be safe and follow all directives of the local and state health agencies.
Best Wishes,
The Doctors & Staff of Hill Country Audiology Service
