Big changes are coming to Medicaid under H.R.1.

New rules will affect eligibility, including work requirements and more frequent coverage reviews. While mental health, substance use treatment, and primary care are still protected from cost-sharing, many people may experience gaps in coverage or lose access altogether. These changes could impact continuity of care, especially in rural or underserved areas.
