At Higher Ground, we are continually reminded that freedom comes at a cost carried by so many military families, veterans, and fallen service members. Today, we reflect with gratitude and remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We honor their legacy.

Dust off your wigs, your denim and your grandparents ski kit because registration is open for the 4th Annual Muffy Davis Cup

The Muffy Davis Cup returns March 7–8 on Dollar Mountain, and for the first time ever, we’re leveling up with a dual course. Teams of five will spend the day skiing in someone else’s skis, trying adaptive equipment, and gaining a deeper appreciation for the skill, strength, and adaptability involved in adaptive skiing. Win or wipeout, it'll be a great time.

Inspired by hometown hero, Muffy Davis, this one-of-a-kind experiential adaptive ski race celebrates inclusion and the incredible adaptive sports community.This year’s theme, Shredding Through History, means picking a decade, committing to a costume, and leaning all the way in. Good luck beating the iconic 'save a horse ride a sitski' t-shirt.

Higher Ground is thrilled to be returning to The Argyous with its annual Comedy Club, an unforgettable evening of laughter and connection. And this time, with star Patton Oswalt!

Kick off the night with musical opener Coby Brown, whose soulful, cinematic sound has been featured everywhere from film soundtracks to intimate live sessions. He’ll set the tone with a warm, feel-good set that pairs perfectly with a night of comedy and community.

Next up, get ready for Hayes MacArthur, our very own local legend. Known for his sharp improv instincts, sitcom cred, and the now-iconic Mountain Humane “affordable housing for animals” bit, Hayes brings the small town jokes a little too close to home.

And finally… Patton Oswalt. Emmy and Grammy winner. Voice of Remy in Ratatouille. Star of Big Fan, AP Bio, The Goldbergs, and countless Netflix specials that you’ve definitely quoted at least once. Patton brings a masterclass in comedy with his razor- sharp storytelling, clever absurdity, and the kind of set that leaves your face sore from smiling.

In honor of Sun Valley celebrating 90 winter seasons, we’re throwing it back, way back. To the early 2000s, when we were Sun Valley Adaptive Sports, helmets looked optional (thankfully times have changed), our jackets were bright red, and our logo.. well, it was definitely questionable... a figure shooting out of the air? oh and our tagline? We change lives and make people smile. 😃

While we’re not quite hitting triple digits, we’re proud of our 26 years and how far we’ve come.

Grab your family & friends, enjoy some popcorn and join us for a special screening of Breaking Waves at the Liberty Theater!

Breaking Waves is a documentary showcasing Kelda Wood, the first para-athlete to row across the Atlantic Ocean solo. Following this "ordinary" woman's journey through the tallest peaks in the world, the GB Paralympic squad, and cancer, inspires us to go on our own journey.

Proceeds go towards supporting programs at Higher Ground. There will also be a raffle - with some great prizes up for grabs! Hope to see you all there!
