We were truly honored to provide soup for the House of Bread Empty Bowls Fundraiser in Dayton, Ohio! This incredible event was a huge success, welcoming close to 500 attendees who had the opportunity to sample over 20 different soups, all in support of an amazing cause.

House of Bread does such important work in our community, providing meals, shelter, and hope to individuals and families in need. The Empty Bowls event was a powerful reminder of what can happen when the community comes together—local organizations, volunteers, and supporters all united to make a difference.

Thank you to House of Bread for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful event, and to everyone who attended, volunteered, and supported this mission. We’re grateful to be involved in something so impactful and look forward to supporting this wonderful organization again in the future!

Thursday we had the pleasure of hosting an art show to showcase the wonderful artwork of our very own salon owner, Richard!

Richard has had a lifelong passion for art, exploring everything from drawing and watercolor to photography and painting over the years. Alongside his impressive 40-year career as a hair artist, he has continued to nurture his creativity and recently rediscovered his love for drawing and watercolor classes.

Our residents truly enjoyed getting to see his artwork, learning about his artistic journey, and celebrating the many talents he brings to our community. Thank you, Richard, for sharing your creativity and inspiring us all!

We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated team members who have gone above and beyond to ensure One Lincoln Park residents are virtually unaffected by the record-breaking snowfall and frigid temperatures. Key team members even spent the night at the property to be sure services would continue if roads became impassable. Their dedication to the welfare of the One Lincoln Park residents shows just how caring and committed our team is in the midst of a storm that will be written into the history books. Snowy days didn’t slow us down one bit! Our community still came together to enjoy great company, chair exercise, and plenty of smiles — because record-breaking snow can’t stop the fun around here.

While the snow piled up outside, our residents stayed warm, safe, and connected inside, sharing laughter, conversation, and moments that remind us what community is all about. From friendly faces to cozy spaces, it’s the togetherness that truly makes One Lincoln Park feel like home.

At One Lincoln Park, we truly look out for the well-being of our residents—especially during the winter months. We’re excited to share a few Winter Wellness Tips to help everyone stay healthy, active, and feeling their best!

Through our partnership with Buckeye Senior Care / Buckeye Home Health Care, we’re proud to offer added support right here in our community, giving residents extra peace of mind and care when they need it most.

Winter Wellness Reminders:
-Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water, herbal teas, or warm lemon water. It’s easy to forget fluids in colder months, so setting drinks out in the morning makes it easier to sip throughout the day.
-Eat Well
Focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and foods rich in Vitamin D—like fatty fish, fortified cereals, and milk to help support your immune system.
-Exercise Regularly
Mix indoor activities with outdoor walks when weather allows. Dress in layers, and always stay inside if conditions are icy or unsafe.
-Get Vaccinated
Be sure to schedule your flu shot and stay up to date on recommended vaccinations.
-Practice Good Hygiene
Wash your hands often and cover coughs and sneezes. Remember to wash up after being out in public or touching high-traffic surfaces like door handles, elevator buttons, and handrails.
-Stay Home if You’re Sick
Rest is important! If you’re feeling under the weather, take it easy and contact your doctor if needed. Symptoms can often be managed with over-the-counter medications—just be sure to check with your doctor first.
