Carbohydrates are a major macronutrient and one of your body’s primary sources of energy. Some weight loss programs discourage eating them, but the key is finding the right carbs — not avoiding them completely.

𝙴𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚜𝚊𝚢𝚜 " 𝚎𝚊𝚝 𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚋𝚜 𝚘𝚛 𝚊𝚟𝚘𝚒𝚍 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚋𝚜" or "carbs make you fat" well simple carbs will make you fat.
Carbohydrates are made up of three components: fiber, starch, and sugar.

Fiber and starch are complex carbs, while sugar is a simple carb. Depending on how much of each of these is found in a food determines its nutrient quality.

When I tell people I'm Vegan I get asked, "where do you get your protein?"🌿

Real Protein doesn't come from animals it comes from plants. The animals eat plants and then humans eat the animals instead of eating the animals cut out the middleman and go straight to the source which are the plants. 🌿

According to Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) on average a woman should eat about 46 grams and a man should eat 56 grams. As Adult we should only have 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. 🌿

Certain food groups are considered acidic, alkaline, or neutral:

Acidic: meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, grains, alcohol, legumes, and nuts

Neutral: natural fats, starches, and sugars

Alkaline: fruits, seeds, vegetables, and herbs

Mucus causes illness 🤒, the more acidic foods we eat the sicker we are. We get moody, our mental health gets bad, our body calls for alkaline foods.

Mucus is secreted by glands and cells in your body. Overproduction, hypersecretion and decreased clearance of phlegm makes mucus accumulate in the lungs.

Fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants. In fact, antioxidants help support your body’s ability to stay healthy and to heal if you become ill. Vitamin C, for example, has anti-inflammatory properties and may help open the airways and reduce wheezing.

What a colorful meal? 😍🌈
Everyday we are told to eat whole foods less processed. Yes its hard but once you change small meals your taste buds change. Instead of thinking about the calories think of the colors when building your meals. It takes at least 28 days for your taste buds to change, give yourself 28 days to eat unprocessed whole foods and I bet you your body will thank you 😊

Well we are at the half year mark and if your new years resolutions were to eat clean, lose weight, etc here are some foods that must be eaten more and some to avoid.

My best advice is CONSISTENCY. Consistency is always key to exercise, every day skills, diet.
Give yourself patience because the weight didn't come over night it took months, years so losing it will take the same or more. Enjoy the process.

Every time I'm on a plane I'm so grateful this is my job. As a flight attendant we serve others with drinks and snacks but that is not our main priority. We are here for your safety so remember the service is a privilege but the safety is our honor so be kind to your crew. ✈

Trans World Airlines was an airline operated in 1930 to 2001 with 190 aircrafts. In 2001 American Airlines bought TWA and made it into a Hotel retiring the name.

Deep thought, we are almost half way into the year and have you already messed up your diet? Have you given up a few times? ....
It is normal I totally have. I let go my diet, my workouts, my daily routines all due to stress my emotions get the best of me.

However I learned I am healthier when I eat clean, when I take a few minutes to say I need a salad, some water, fresh air. It is not me saying I WANT this but my body NEEDS this.

Never give up on your progress it takes time. If it is not today then when. Do not sacrifice another day treating your body like a Grave but treat it like a Garden. Show your body your love it by eating vegetables and fruits, drinking plenty of water 💧, getting some sunlight ☀️ and fresh air ☁️.

Tips to celebrate Mother Earth:
1. Go for a walk, less driving 🚶🏾‍♀️

4. Eat more plants than processed 🥬
5. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ♻️

🌿The smallest changes everyday means alot. This beautiful planet is the only one we have, there is no planet B.
Earth is so powerful she can heal herself but when we pollute her with trash, nasty food, and harm her she gets sick which delays her healing.

🌿Let us plant more trees and make our earth green and clean. Think globally, act locally. Keep our earth green and clean.
