Services provided by the HCHD include Environmental Health with a focus on safe food, water, and private sewage; Clinical services including WIC, Family Case Management, control of communicable disease, maternal and child health, family planning, and tobacco prevention services. The Health Department also provides home services/homecare assistant visits, health education, vital records, and emerge

In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA. January is National Radon Action Month. The Health Department has Radon Home Test kits available for purchase through their offices in Kewanee, Colona and Toulon. The kits are available at the low cost of $15 per kit.

Not all birth defects can be prevented. However, all pregnant people & prospective parents are encouraged to health healthy choices & adopt healthier habits to help lower their risk of having a baby born with a birth defect. ATTENTION FARM BUREAU MEMBERS! The Henry County Health Department, First Choice Healthcare, and the Henry County Farm Bureau remind Farm Bureau Members they will be holding a special Certified DOT Exam Clinic for all Henry County Farm Bureau members on Friday, February 21st at the Henry County Farm Bureau, 128 N Prospect St., Cambridge. The clinic is open to all men and women 18 years of age and older.
