And our staff did not hold back. Many of our staff truly enjoyed a day letting out their inner Cowboy or Caddyshack extra persona!

First Choice Healthcare announcse April is Cancer Control Month. This month, we stand with all those touched by cancer & redouble our efforts to prevent, detect, and treat this disease. While it is impossible to completely eliminate the risk of cancer, we can take action to reduce our chances of developing this disease. To beat this disease, prevention is the key.

Today we salute our First Choice Healthcare Behavioral/Mental Health services staff! Our Behavioral Health staff includes 1 psychiatric nurse practitioner, clinic-based mental health therapists, school-based mental health therapists, nursing and support staff.

The Henry & Stark County Health Departments & our First Choice Healthcare Clinics in Kewanee & Toulon will showcase our ongoing efforts "to protect and improve the health of the community," during National Public Health Week, April 6-12, 2026.
Therefore, our clinics will offer a lab special during the month of April featuring a combination General Health/Thyroid/CBC Panel Blood Test for only $50. This test also includes a full lipid “Cholesterol” panel. Appointments are necessary. These lab specials are available on a “Cash Only” basis.

This year National Public Health Week takes place from April 6-12, 2026. During National Public Health Week (NPHW) 2026, the Health Department is celebrating the 31st anniversary of the designation and rallying around a theme of “Public Health Week-Ready. Set. Action!”

Main St., Toulon, IL. Our staff will offer the public: Free Accepting & Disposal of Home Expired or Unused Medications; and Free Blood Pressure Checks. There will also be free giveaways and health information. In addition, our Get Covered Illinois Insurance Navigator will be available.
