At the we use on of two techniques to perform after a : we use autologous fat transfer in combination with internal or external expansion.

Both ideally begin at the time of the mastectomy, which is known as immediate breast reconstruction with autologous fat transfer. They also both require multiple outpatient visits to fully reconstruct the breasts naturally.

Internal expansion reconstruction uses a tissue expander along with fat grafting at the time of mastectomy. Then over the course of two or three outpatient surgeries the tissue expander is exchanged for fat grafting until your breasts are fully reconstructed with your own fat.

External expansion reconstruction uses fat grafting at the time of mastectomy only, without placing a tissue expander. Then using an external expander the breast tissues are prepared for autologous fat transfer to reconstruct your breasts naturally.

BII (Breast Implant Illness) has several symptoms to look out for and this patient showed a variety of them. She had migraines, arthritis, depression, loss of appetite, low energy, loss of hair, and skin rashes.
