We also offer private yoga, resort yoga and wedding yoga. Since then, I have been teaching classes at various locations in the upper keys. I have studied with a variety of Master Teachers and learned so much from them but my true teacher is my own 5'7' body when I step on this little rubber mat. Each and every day I discover things about my body and what it is and is not ready to do. I started practicing Ashtanga Yoga daily, with a DVD of Sharath, after my first true yoga class with Sri. Pattabhi Jois! Yes, my very first yoga class was with Guruji himself!! Ashtanga was my first love, but I have come to love all styles of yoga. Yoga has become a daily study and practice as I try to discover the possibilities that lie within. My perspective on life is simple. Life is merely a balancing act. When your needs are met you feel a sense of well-being. When your needs are not met, the balancing act continues. We all enjoy feeling good physically and mentally. We would all like to have peace of mind. We all enjoy being joyful, peaceful, energized and relaxed. One of the most obvious things about aging is that our bodies tend to become stiff. As our bodies tighten, not only are we less comfortable, we actually becomes less efficient and more prone to dis-"ease" and degeneration of the muscles and bones. I am living proof that we can actually bring the suppleness of youth back into our bodies and be more flexible, durable and stronger. As I have learned to focus my physical and mental energy more effectively, I have become stronger, more flexible and centered. When looking for a class that is a good fit for you, keep this in mind: my classes are appropriate for any level. I am trained and experienced working with all ability levels and offer modifications and challenges for each posture. This means that you can come to any class, and be confident that you will feel comfortable yet challenged. Yoga is a personal practice, and the experience you have in class is largely up to you. There are no rules or guidelines that you must follow. I encourage my students to honor and listen to their bodies as they practice yoga. This means that you should never feel pressured to keep up with the rest of the class. On the same token, if you want more of a challenge, and I am not suggesting it, you have the power to step it up a notch and go deeper into a posture yourself. My Teaching Style~Vinyasa is a flowing style of yoga with its foundation in Ashtanga. The asanas (postures) mirror those of Ashtanga, but are done in a free-flowing sequence. I bring my own distinct style and sequence into my instruction of the practice. Vinyasa means “breathe-synchronized movement”, so the postures are timed with the breath. Vinyasa (or “Vinyasa Flow”) is fluid; each posture flows into the next, linked together with a series of movements also called a “Vinyasa” (plank, low plank, upward-facing dog, downward-facing dog). The beauty of this class is that the sequence, or “flow”, can be different in each class. I can focus on different areas of the body from day to day, or modify instruction depending on the demographics of my class. Vinyasa is appropriate for any ability level, from beginner to advanced practitioner. Yoga is a gift....however, you need to open to receive~

A Yoga Philosophy Workshop
The Obstacles To Enlightenment

Saturday January 17th
12pm - 2pm
Yoga is many things, including a path towards finding enlightenment and understanding. Yoga also provides us with the tools we need to cultivate a calm mind so that we can seek that sense of enlightenment. In order to bring our minds into a state of clarity, we need a better understanding of our minds and it's reactions to the world around us.

Yoga teaches us that - with awareness and practice - we can choose to be less reactive and more responsive to the driving forces behind our thoughts so our minds stay calm. These driving forces are considered the obstacles to an undisturbed mind and in Yoga they are called kleshas. Once we identify and begin to understand the kleshas, our thoughts become less distracting and we can abide in our true nature.

All are invited to attend, no experience is necessary. Expect lecture and discussion as well as simple movement and breathing exercises. Workshop is $30 per person. Advance registration is available on our website, but walk-ins are always welcome.

Tomorrow night January 7th 7 PM, join us for our January Book Club meeting at Key Largo Yoga.

We’re excited to offer Kula — a new yoga-inspired book club rooted in connection, reflection, and meaningful conversation. Kula, a Sanskrit word meaning “community,” beautifully captures our intention: to gather in a supportive space where we can grow together through the power of shared reading and mindful dialogue.
Each month, we’ll explore books that inspire inner balance, spark curiosity, and encourage wellness and personal growth. From soulful memoirs to teachings on mindfulness, each selection invites us to pause, reflect, and expand — individually and together.
But Kula is more than a book club. It’s a space to listen deeply, share authentically, and uplift one another with presence and purpose. Your voice, your story, and your spirit are welcome here.

There’s something sacred about greeting the new year with 108 sun salutations. Each vinyasa becomes a prayer, each breath a reset, each movement a chance to release what no longer serves and welcome what’s yet to come.
By the 30th salutation, the mind quiets. By the 60th, you’re no longer counting. By the 90th, you’ve surrendered to the rhythm of breath and movement. And when you complete the 108th, you realize the practice was never about the number—it was about showing up, moving with intention, and honoring the journey.
108 sun salutations remind us that transformation doesn’t happen in a single moment. It unfolds through repetition, through dedication, through the willingness to keep moving even when it feels difficult.
What a beautiful way to step into a new year—not with resolutions, but with reverence. Not with pressure, but with presence.
Here’s to beginning as we hope to continue: grounded, grateful, and in motion Thank you Kat for leading all of us in this moving meditation. Thank you to my amazing daughter Kristie for creating a beautiful circle for us to gather around filled with flowers, sage, candles and oracle cards. 🙏☀️

Happy 2026! Join us this morning as we welcome the New Year with a Yoga Mala practice.

This is a free practice open to the community.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
A Yoga Mala consist of 108 Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar A) and usually takes
about two hours. We will do four sets of 27, with a five minute rest between each set.
Yes, this can be an incredibly challenging practice.
Participants are encouraged to modify as needed (we plan to modify too!).
This practice may challenge you, but it will also inspire you.
It is also enough to come and spend this time journaling, meditating,
or resting in the space. We lift one another up with our presence.
Beyond worry, doubt, and judgment lies the Divine Self.
The Mala Yoga practice guides us inward toward this space,
where inspiration and vision for the New Year can be found.
Feel free to bring your mala beads, crystals, journals,
essential oils, or anything else that has meaning to you.
