Key West Yoga Sanctuary and Yoga for the Environment are passionate about taking an additional step to extend this awareness and consciousness from the internal to the external world. This can include learning about and understanding other cultu

res or utilizing and experiencing true eco-concsious practices with sustainable materials made with zero toxic emissions. In turn, these efforts will cultivate community, compassion, and peace in our yoga practice, our daily lives, and our universe as a whole.

Itโ€™s getting hot out here Key West. Letโ€™s see what Ayurveda has to say about managing the summer season and moderating the heat in our bodies.
We all know the heat can be uncomfortable and too much heat can wreak havoc in our bodies too leading to things like inflammation and skin irritation.
Ayurveda is an age old science, which promotes health through daily routines. These daily routines can be tailored according to the seasons, our stages of life and the current needs of each individual. What is The Pine Practice ? ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฒ

Pine is a yin-yoga based movement practice that helps regulate the nervous system during perimenopause and menopause. Through movement, breath, and community, Pine helps to reestablish a feeling of home in your changing body. The menopause transition (from perimenopause to post menopause) asks us for softness, not intensity. Pineโ€™s slow, introspective, regulating nature is the perfect counterbalance to the chaos and dysregulation of hormone depletion. Ground, balance, move, breathe, soften, and listen to what the body knows.

HISTORY OF YOGA

We can trace the written history of Yoga back to the ancient wisdom tradition of the Vedas and we can also see evidence of Yoga that predates the written record. Together weโ€™ll build a timeline of Yoga from the Vedas to modern day. Along the way weโ€™ll examine source texts and share stories from them. Weโ€™ll see how various paths and styles of practice developed throughout history.

This is a beautiful way to discover just how deep and varied the roots of Yoga are. Youโ€™ll see how so many paths all lead to the same place. You may even find something new that resonates with you.
