We’re so excited to introduce our November 2025 Patients of the Month, Bailey and Bella! Below you will find some photos of these two beautiful Biewer terriers, as well as a bio written by their wonderful humans, Bob and Tim.

Bailey and Bella are Biewer Terriers, pint sized bundles of enjoyment. Bailey came along first, four years ago, but during that first year we thought he needed to have a playmate for company, so the next year Bella joined our family. These two share the same sire, but their unique personalities suggests that Momma makes all the difference in the world.
Bailey (4 years) is our affectionate lover boy, excited to meet new people. In general he is a very chill dog, whose main goal in life is to find himself being held, or sitting on someone’s lap. He is a definite attention seeker 24/7. He loves his playtime with Ducky, Chicken, Fox and, sometimes, with Bella. He is very pack-focused, and does not like having to do things without all four of us together.
Bella (3 years) is a true spitfire and wild child. She is the youngest and smallest member of the household, but she is in charge. She lets us know when it’s time to get up, time to eat, time to walk, time to play, and when it’s time for her nap. She loves some cuddle time in the mornings and at bedtime, but also loves her independence. She is forever vigilant, looking for yard intruders (birds, iguanas) to chase away and keep us safe!

Both enjoy people, and meeting the occasional right-sized (i.e., small) friendly dog. They love their treats and their toys, and are great car travelers for long road trips. What a delight they have brought to our lives.

We’re so excited to introduce our October 2025 Patient of the Month, Leon Pollard!

A dog of impeccable tastes, Leon effortlessly blends Old World charm (he’s originally from Ukraine!) with laid-back beach life. He’s a true lover, maintaining a steady two-dog partnership with his Golden Retriever “girlfriend” and enjoying a close sibling bond with his rescue “step-sister,” Joy. Don’t let the distinguished exterior fool you—this compact powerhouse has two speeds: fearless sea dog, plunging into the water’s edge at the tidal break, and expert couch potato, perfectly happy to log some quality snuggle time with his favorite people on a rainy day. Leon is proof that the best life is one filled with love, family, and a dash of adventure.

We’re so excited to introduce our September 2025 Patient of the Month, Trudy Commander! This charming little lady is an absolute delight to have at our practice, and we’re honored to have her as a patient. Below, you’ll find some photos and a bio written by her amazing human.

Trudy is a 1-year-old blue Sphynx who brings joy to everyone she meets; no one is a stranger to her. Her favorite activities include hanging out with her canine best friend and spending supervised time outdoors. Her morning routine includes running on her cat wheel after a hearty breakfast—usually chicken pâté. Like all Sphynx cats, she maintains a grooming schedule and isn’t afraid of taking a splash! Most nights (or even for a cat nap), Trudy insists on sleeping with her human companions and will find a way under the covers at all costs.

Congratulations to Trudy on being named our Keys Animal Care Center September 2025 Patient of the Month! Thank you to the Commander family for letting us be a part of this sweet Sphynx’s life.
