Peak Health Alliance is your local source for community care and comprehensive coverage. Our mission is to provide access to comprehensive and affordable health insurance for individuals, families, and employers in rural Colorado. We are proud that thousands of Coloradans save money on health insurance as a result of our work. We are led by our communities. Our role is community advocacy—on behalf

of individuals like you—with healthcare providers, physicians, healthcare facilities, the state of Colorado, and insurance companies. We use the purchasing power of the communities we represent to negotiate lower health insurance premiums. We offer health insurance plans through an insurance carrier selected based on their ability to offer the most competitive rates and comprehensive plans. While our ability to operate and offer plans is granted under Colorado law and enforced by the Division of Insurance, we are not a state agency. The key to our success is a collaborative approach that includes local leaders and providers in developing innovative healthcare solutions. Your membership supports our work. Western Colorado deserves affordable, accessible, quality health care. Peak Health Alliance exists to make those rights a reality, fighting for our community all the way from Colorado to Washington.

Executive Director Rich Cimino (left, the short guy) and Valley Health Alliance Executive Director Chris McDowell (right, the tall guy) took our message to the nation’s capitol last fall, advocating for improvements around drug prices, surprise billing, and price transparency. This work will benefit Colorado Employers and Colorado residents.

Peak Health Alliance is a non-profit Healthcare Purchasing Coalition in nine Colorado counties that includes Durango, Pagosa Springs, Breckenridge, and Winter Park. Valley Health Alliance is a non-profit employer organization serving the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys across Eagle, Garfield, and Pitkin Counties, working to make high-quality care more accessible and affordable for local employers and communities.
