Under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for ensuring patient prescriptions are filled and prepared in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Perform routine, professional pharmacy functions.
-Responsible for filling and preparing prescription orders in a timely manner.
-Accountable for checking expired drugs on a monthly basis and making the necessary quantity adjustments in the inventory.
-Responsible for scanning in and putting away the daily orders from the wholesalers.
-Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPPA.
-Other duties as assigned.
