FREEDOM FROM BODY MEMORY
Freedom through Acceptance

Coming to peace with the painful experiences from your past occurs once you accept them; not just psychologically, but in your body.

Suppressed emotions are not stored in the mind, but in the body resulting in muscular tension, hardening of fluids and restricted fascia. This effect called body armor, develops because a person does not want to feel pain. Body armor dissolves when a person makes the shift towards acceptance of pain and choose to feel them. Acceptance allows the body to process the pain and transmit it. Feeling and expressing pain releases it from the body and frees a person from the conflict against it.

FREEDOM FROM BODY MEMORY
Getting Back to Flow

My motto after a 30+ year career in transformational bodywork is this:
“When your energy is flowing and your mind is open, you have no problems only growth.”

Every one of the 3-thousand+ clients I have worked with reported symptoms that were directly related to blocked energy and a fixed mind. Releasing those blocks translated to a reduction or elimination of symptoms, inner peace and vitality.

Common sources of chronic symptoms:
1. Post-operative Scarring
2. Suppressed Emotion & Trauma
3. Fascial Hardening & Restriction
4. Psychological Conditioning
5. Inherited Memory
6. FEAR & Attachment

The Body Memory Recall (BMR) approach addresses each of these sources through bodywork and coaching by restoring conductivity in the fascia, meridians and chakras while also helping a person to overcome their fear of flow.

FREEDOM FROM BODY MEMORY
Identity Transformation: Part 2

When the body unwinds, what happened “to” you and was suppressed begins to flow “through” you. That is the shift that transforms body memory. By allowing an experience to flow through you, you become unattached to it and thereby let go of attachment to the person (or identity) that experienced it.

FREEDOM FROM BODY MEMORY
Identity Transformation

The accumulation of past suffering suppressed in the body is psychologically bound to an autobiographical identity that we assumed to be our true identity. Freud and Jung referred to this identity as the EGO.

Current insight from the field of neuroscience and consciousness suggests that the human organism was designed to have thoughts, feelings and sensations. However, the mind attached these experiences to an identity that didn’t exist, but was assumed to exist out of a need to attach the experience to “someone”. The attachment of an assumed identity with painful experiences is being considered to be the underlying cause of suffering. The mind protects the assumed identity by suppressing the memory of its pain.

Body memory transformation occurs when a person releases their attachment not only to a past, suppressed, painful experience but to the person who experienced it. In so doing, they become free to enter the present moment and become someone different than their past. Those that have experienced Body Memory Recall (BMR) have reported feeling that freedom which initially feels like peace and later like expansive exhilaration.

FREEDOM FROM BODY MEMORY
The Journey to Your Core

More often, Body Memory transformation is gradual.
Every once in a while, a person experiences a quantum leap.
I recommend to my clients to be open to both.

I experience the transformational process as a peeling back of layers. Imagine that below the outer layers of body consciousness, which consists of suppressed sensation and emotion, there exists a deeper inner core that is untouched by time and memory. That is the ultimate intent of BMR; to help you access your core. For that to happen, a person must be willing to let go of attachment to the outer layers. That is where BMR shines.

FREEDOM FROM BODY MEMORY
The Union of Body, Mind & Consciousness

The body is an extension of the mind. The emotions generated by memory and thought are transmitted through the body. The fear of painful emotions causes the body to contract to protect oneself. The unconscious reaction to protect oneself results in body tension and stress caused by the suppression of emotionally charged memory.

Consciousness is needed to become liberated of painful body memories adn the tensions they produce. One must become aware of the protective responses active in their body and choose surrender instead. The surrendered state allows the body to release the energy of suppressed experiences - a self healing phenomenon referred to as Unwinding. By letting the body Unwind, one can naturally become free from past pain and more importantly, the fear of it.

FREEDOM FROM BODY MEMORY
Black Holes, The Cosmic Spin & The Source of Body Unwinding

New astronomical findings reveal that the axes of black holes appear to be aligned across vast cosmic distances—a phenomenon that aligns with emerging models of a spinning universe. These models suggest that such cosmic alignment arises from spin: a coherent, directional force influencing the structure of space itself.

These discoveries lend growing support to the idea that our universe is not a chaotic expanse, but a deeply connected and dynamic web shaped by spin and resonance.

So what does this mean for our understanding of Body Unwinding? Could human bodies operate from the same forces that move and unfold the Universe?

Experience Unwinding for yourself this October at the Sedona Unwinding Retreat. It will transform your mind, free your body and revitalize your energy!

So much of our fear is recycled memory—old stories replaying themselves as future worries.

But what if you paused today and asked yourself this one question…
Not to fix anything.
Not to heal it all at once.
Just to witness what remains when the past no longer defines you.

THE SEDONA UNWINDING RETREAT
October 22-25, 2025

We cope to survive!
We surrender inwardly to transform!
And from the restored flow of vital energy that arises from inner transformation, we AWAKEN!

It’s a deeply engrained habit to cope with pain, which results in storing pain in the body and carrying it with you. It’s an evolutionary moment when you stop coping with pain and start cultivating your innate ability to surrender and let go of it.

As you deepen in your ability to surrender, stored pain from your past naturally flows through and out of your body. Once painful energy is processed OUT, the body begins to channel the vital energy of creativity, joy, and love IN. This holy trinity of energy naturally ascends up the spine to the crown of the head, igniting the pineal gland which awakens a person to wisdom.

Take your next evolutionary step on your path of inner transformation & awakening. There are 8 spots left on the upcoming Sedona Unwinding Retreat. Secure your space soon.

Advanced registration ends August 22.

FREEDOM FROM BODY MEMORY
Is Suffering Created?

Suffering at the causal level may be due to ignorance, to not knowing reality and not seeing the true nature of mind. Instead of seeing the true nature of the mind, we cling to the minds creation of a self, referred to as an ego, a personality or an autobiographical identity. And it is this clinging or attachment to this made-up personality that in turn brings about all our faults and thereby all our sufferings. We do this without any logical basis, for in reality the osychological self is not your true nature.

The psychological self is a mistaken notion, for if our true identity was our ego, it would have to be our name, our body, and/or our mind. Name of course is empty of a real self. Any name could be given at any time to anybody. So the name is empty of real self. As for the body, if we investigate every part of the body from the head to the toe, there are many different parts—flesh, blood, bones, and so on—but there is no single thing that can be called YOU.

The mind is something that is invisible. It is changing every moment. For example, the mind we had as small children and the mind we have as adults are very different. The mind changes, not just once in a while, but constantly, in every moment. Something that is always changing cannot be our true self that we cling to.

In common usage, when we say “my house,” we refer to a house that belongs to me. Similarly, we say “my body,” which means the body that belongs to me. So when we say “my mind,” it means the mind that belongs to me.

Now, who is this me that owns all these things? Who owns our house, our possessions, our body, our mind?

This big owner is the ego self. But where is that self? When we try to find where that self is located and who it is, nothing can be found anywhere.

It has been our habit from beginningless time to cling to the notion of the personality self. Our tendency to cling to it is very strong and feels utterly natural to us, but it is this clinging to a mistaken notion of self, with no logical basis, that is the root of all faults.

This is because when we cling to the idea of a “self,” there naturally arises the idea of “other,” like right and left. If there is a right side, there must be a left side. When we cling to self, therefore, then naturally there is attachment to our own side and anger and judgement toward others.

To put it another way, there are three root defilements that lead to suffering: desire, anger, and ignorance. Ignorance is the most basic of these. The very root of ignorance is not knowing the nature of reality and clinging to a created self programmed over time.

Our Story

My healing from a life-threatening circulatory condition taught me that we are not just capable of transformation, we are designed for it.

I have since discovered that the power to heal and transform is equally as great as the power to survive. The only difference is that survival is a familiar experienced and practically a habit, while transformation is more foreign. But, like any relationship, the one with your inner healer can be cultivated to establish familiarity, trust, and confidence. If you commit to such a relationship, I trust you will experience, as I did, healing that will intrigue, inspire and transform you.

Over the years, I have also concluded that clearing body memory and creating new healthy programming is fundamental for creating health, peace, and happiness, both within yourself and in your relationships with others. Furthermore, health problems that are chronic or attributed to “old age” can be directly related to the degenerative effect of body memory that has accumulated over a lifetime.

You, I, science and the medical profession may not yet fully understand how the body contains memory or how the body’s self-healing intelligence can transform it, but that lack of understanding has not prevented the thousands of people I have treated from experiencing these phenomenon’s.
