💙 Blue Before I Do Private JOY 💍

Loved leading these ladies on Friday with a beach view flow to honor the bride the day before she walked down the aisle!

Yoga translates to “yoke” or “union” so it’s very fitting to honor the union of two people with the union of breath with body on the mat.

🪷 August 20th Mini Retreat 🪷

The 1st retreat at my Haiku Hale was so sweet ill be hosting 2 more!

This month’s theme will be on detachment, or as the yogis say: vairagya.

Vairagya is not about indifference or rejection of the outer world and goals. Rather, the teaching helps us to break free from the bonds of our expectations so that we may connect to the deep peace and joy that is always within us. It’s the final desire on a yogi’s journey: the one that is driven by the heart and not the mind, and it enriches every moment with gratitude.

Let’s gather in nature together to connect to this truth and the simple pleasures of breath, movement, stillness, and community.

How AUM manifests on your mat in class:

A: This is the first conscious breath you take and the moment you set an intention for why you came to practice.

U: This is familiar territory or your sun salutations, the flow you’re moving mostly with ease through.

M: This is when you are challenged, moving or holding in new ways, when you start to sweat and fall in and out of tough poses. The work here is to destroy any judgements about how that process goes!

•: This is Savasana. When you fully rest with stillness and silence, nowhere to go and nothing to do. Simply BE the miracle that are you ✨

Donation based outdoor yoga classes like JOY is a way to create healthier & stronger communities and it’s unfortunate that it’s something that needs to be defended to our government.

In a day with so much dark news, today’s news of Southern California yogis being able to continue outdoor yoga classes is bringing me so much JOY 🥳

🌿 SOLD OUT HANA RETREAT 🌿

Wow! Sometimes magic manifests on island time but sometimes it happens like a flash flood ⚡️

This retreat was a dream that .nature.wellbeing and I envisioned but had no idea how fast it would manifest let alone how quickly it would sell out before we even announced it to the public.

Feeling very grateful and excited to share this special experience with 8 lovely local ladies that have supported our yoga journeys on and off the mat on Maui.

🌏 Happy Earth Day from Maui 🙏🏽

Living on Maui is such a special slice of outdoor heaven. Even though it is small in size it’s so grand on beauty, life, and sunshine.

JOY sprouted from my love of being outside and sharing yoga with others so thank you to all who have followed me along this passion project.

It’s a tiny but mighty way to soak up nature and connect with the miracle of being alive and well.
