Andrea Bordelon LMT, BCPP, RPE Andrea is a body-centered practitioner and instructor with unique history of study and practice in the healing arts that spans decades and cultures. She uses several Energy Medicine modalities, bodywork techniques, and an eclectic array of therapeutic body/mind tools which may include shamanic trance, medicine wheel ceremony, animal and spirit guides, Angels, her dog Maddie, Dutch Uncle talks, tree hugging, or any number of quirky means to bring about healing on many levels.
From the physical, emotional, physiological to the spiritual, Andrea utilizes deep listening skills with her hands, heart and ears to read and interpret body language and verbal cues as well as the energy/auric field of the client to recognize trauma patterns and physical imbalances that affect the health and well-being of the client. Andrea uses these skills with humor and compassion to influence her bodywork, phrases and timing. Clients notice their subtle levels of experience in a way that allows discharge of trauma-energy and allows them to become more in touch with themselves and their own ability to bring about balance in their lives and bodies. She teaches the art of being present to empower the client to create ease and joy in everyday living.
Although Andrea’s credentials include massage therapy, which feels great and can be very healing on its own, her other modalities are different in that the client is clothed and there is no oil. Therapeutic dialogue continues on the table, as the client experiences the opening of energetic pathways that allow the body and mind to heal as well as tools such as dietary suggestions, exercise protocols and other tools to empower the client to take charge of their lives and bodies. Because she works with the tissues and energy systems of the body, Andrea’s style of Cranial Sacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Trauma Therapy and massage are often described by her grateful clients as transformative, tender and straight forward as well as fun/unconventional and life altering.
