Every day, I'm discovering new ways to solve problems, whether it's figuring out how to reach a toy under the couch or mastering a new command. You see, I've learned that growth isn't about age – it's about keeping your curiosity alive.
I've noticed how you humans sometimes limit yourselves with beliefs about being "too old" or "too set in your ways" to learn something new. But here's what I know: every moment offers a chance to grow, to adapt, to master something that once seemed impossible.
When I'm learning a new trick, I don't worry about looking silly or making mistakes. Each attempt is just another step toward mastery. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I don't, but I always wag my tail and try again. Your new "tricks" might be different – maybe it's learning a new skill, trying a new hobby, or exploring a different way of thinking.
The secret to mastering new tricks isn't just about practice – it's about maintaining that puppy-like enthusiasm for discovery. When you approach learning with joy rather than judgment, every lesson becomes an adventure.

I never pass up a chance to drink from my water bowl, especially on warm summer days. It's not just about quenching thirst – it's about staying nourished and vital. You see, I understand that what fills us up is just as important as what drives us forward.
I've observed how you humans sometimes forget to replenish what matters most – your energy, your joy, your sense of purpose. You run from one task to another, not realizing you're running low on the essential elements that keep your spirit flowing.
Just as I know exactly when to take a long, refreshing drink, you need to recognize what truly hydrates your soul. Maybe it's time with loved ones, moments of creativity, quiet reflection, or adventures in nature. These aren't luxury items – they're as essential as the water in my bowl.
Hydrating your soul isn't a one-time thing; it needs regular replenishment. Like how I return to my water bowl throughout the day, you need consistent moments of refreshment for your spirit. Sometimes a quick sip will do; other times you need a long, deep drink of what nourishes you.
So today, notice what's running low within you. What does your soul thirst for? Take time to drink deeply from whatever fills you up.

It's National Hot Dog Day. But, we always say, "NO!" to hot dogs.
The heat in Texas can be brutal. And it is even more so on the creatures covered in fur. This is a great time to be mindful of that. Find a shady spot for pets to rest when they're outside. Make sure there is plenty of cool, fresh water available. If it's feasible, bring them inside!
And please never, ever leave a pet in hot car.
