🥶 As temperatures drop, we remind our community to take extra steps to protect pets and animals during extreme cold conditions.

🐾 Bring pets indoors whenever possible
🐾 Ensure animals have proper shelter, adequate food, and unfrozen water
🐾 Check vehicles for cats or small animals seeking warmth before starting engines
🐾 Report animals left in unsafe or neglected conditions

⚠️🧂⚠️Please also be aware that rock salt can be harmful to pets. It may cause paw irritation or chemical burns, and if ingested can lead to drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, or even death.

L👀k at those 🐾 paws! This is Kill Devil Hills newest local, Daisy🌼, ain't she sweet. Daisy is a 16 week young Great Dane pup who already knows several commands, smarty pants. We can't wait to watch her grow! See you soon Daisy 👋🏼.

Sweater/coat weather this weekend. Forecast calls for possible 🌬 🌧🌨🥶. Jeddi is ready! Look at her in her pretty in pink comfy coat, aww 💟. Jeddi is a 7 year young Staffordshire Bull Terrier local from Avon. Jeddi and her Momma stocked up on all her favorites to hunker down this weekend. Thanks for the visit Jeddi, see you next time 👋🏼.

Have you seen this handsome cutie around town? It's Banks from Kill Devil Hills. He is 5 months and was adopted from the
Outer Banks SPCA. Banks and his Dad were on a mission, socializing and picking up a few items from the shop that included Himalayan chews from our friends at Himalayan Pet Supply 🧀.

⬇️Fun Fact about the Himalayan chews we carry:

🐾 Long-lasting, hard cheese treat for dogs, made from yak and cow milk using traditional Himalayan methods, creating a natural, low-fat, lactose-free chew that supports dental health and satisfies chewing needs.

🐾 100% edible, safe, and digestible.

🐾 As always it is crucial to monitor your dog while they enjoy this tasty treat.

🐾 Remember, the final small piece can be soaked in water. Placed it in your microwave to turn it into a cheese puff that is completly safe to eat.

We also carry the Bonehead chew lock, see pic.
When your pup has chewed as much as they can, take the Bonehead back and remove the small piece of chew locked in the middle. Soak your chew in warm water for five minutes, pat it dry and toss it in the microwave for 45 seconds to make a cheesy puff treat for your pup. Let the chew cool for two minutes before treating your dog to their new cheese puffed treat. Do not microwave Bonehead.
