We resumed routine patient care as of June 1. Some changes were made in the office to allow us to serve as safely as possible. Ultra HEPA air filters were installed in the exam rooms, chairs have been removed and distanced in the waiting area and even more vigilant disinfecting procedures are being followed. We are asking that only the patient being seen come into the office with no other children, family members or guests. Masks are required. We thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time.

CDC recommendation to healthcare facilities and clinicians made yesterday says to postpone all routine eye care visits as well as other non urgent medical care. I will be complying with this recommendation and re-scheduling all routine care at my office for the next month. I don't like the financial burden that this will create, but it will be well worth it if we can keep this from exploding exponentially on us as we have seen in past outbreaks. Personal sacrifices now may save thousands of our loved ones!
