“Dads are making a comeback…”
We say this jokingly because the truth is dads never really left. Culture sometimes tells us they aren’t essential, but God’s Word tells a very different story.
Just look at the birth of Jesus in Luke 1:
the very foundation of our Christian faith is built upon what (from the outside) looked like an unplanned pregnancy.
• Mary, a young girl, received counsel from Gabriel (Luke 1:26–38) and encouragement from Elizabeth (Luke 1:39–45).
• Joseph was urged by the Lord to “not be afraid” to take Mary as his wife (Matthew 1:20–24) and to step into his role with courage and obedience.
• And then Jesus — the Light of the World — was born (Luke 2:1–7), grew in wisdom and stature (Luke 2:52), and ultimately taught us how to love in truth, offering Himself for our salvation.
A baby changed everything.
At Hope Pregnancy Centers, we see it every day.
• HPC is here to support and encourage young moms in early pregnancy and beyond.
• Dads matter deeply and in Bell & Coryell Counties, they’re getting support, discipleship, and real-life counsel from men like the ones you see below.
These men from the Iron Sharpens Iron group at Charis Church showed up at the Hope Leadership House this weekend cutting down trees, tearing out walls, pulling up fencing.
Why? Because they believe mentoring dads is the Lord’s work (Proverbs 27:17), and we are humbled and grateful to link arms together.
Thank you, Iron Sharpens Iron!
