BIMT's Massage Therapy program is designed to prepare the student for licensure as a massage therapist in the state of Alabama, although the program may be applicable to other state requirements as well. We are Alabama Board of Massage Therapy licensed and certified.

It is hard to believe this month marks our 10th year open, teaching and mentoring massage therapists! We are currently on our 22nd class at BIMT, and feel so honored to have helped so many people change their lives with this amazing career.
In honor of our 10th year anniversary, we will be featuring some of our graduates with a WHERE ARE THEY NOW spotlight! We know many of you have supported our students throughout their journey, and we want to honor all the successes of our alumni!
We are so proud of every one of our graduates and look forward to shining the light on them this month!
Thank you to everyone who has supported our massage school all these years! Cheers to 10 years!

At the Bluewater Institute for Massage Therapy (BIMT), we take pride in the efficacy of our program, which is designed to meet the demands of the ever emerging field of massage therapy. Whether you are pursuing massage therapy as a new career or a change in life goals, it is an exciting time to be entering the field. Massage and bodywork is increasingly recognized as an integral part of holistic and complementary healthcare.

Our comprehensive Massage Therapy Certification Program includes 650-hours of thorough instruction in the most high-demand and effective massage therapy and bodywork techniques, advanced anatomy, pathology, Kinesiology, and physiology, business development skills, therapist self-care, and body mechanics practices, as well as Student Clinic/Practical Applications to help you gain all the experience needed to begin work immediately. It is our goal to not only ensure you a well rounded and complete education, but to empower and prepare you to take and pass the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx) in order to obtain a license in Alabama.
