Shoutout to all my “more is more!” people … I *love* your enthusiasm.
But also, please remember:
Your body doesn’t actually get stronger or leaner during the workout.
It happens while you’re resting. While you’re recovering.
While you’re doing… LESS.
If you’re always “on,” eventually your body will tap out.
In fact, recovery is a key part of the process!
✅ Take at least one true rest day.
✅ Eat enough to support your body, especially whole foods and protein.
✅ Make sleep a non-negotiable.
Your progress depends on it.
✅Try Block Therapy! Next class is this Monday at 5pm! DM for details

It’s so easy to fall into comparison… especially when you’re scrolling IG and just trying to make it through the day..
You see someone meal prepping perfectly portioned meal or posting their 5 am workouts like it’s no big deal...
And suddenly you’re questioning if you’re doing enough.
👉 But here’s the reminder: You’re not in a race with anyone else.
The only version you’re measuring against:
The YOU from last week.
Last month.
Last year.
✅ Are you showing up more often than you used to?
✅ Are you making different choices than the old you would’ve made?
✅ Are you handling hard days differently than you would’ve six months ago
That’s what REAL progress looks like.

That’s because around 70% of your immune system lives in your gut, and when inflammation flares there, it can affect your whole body.
And if you’re someone who’s been dealing with low energy, stubborn weight, or unpredictable symptoms, your gut might be trying to get your attention.
The next time you feel the aftermath of a “party” in your gut from a weekend of takeout or a stretch of poor sleep and high stress...
Your body feels it.
Here’s what I recommend:
Scan your body for symptoms and then — instead of regretting your choices —drink some water, take a short walk, and focus on your next meal being simple, whole, and easy on your system.
✅ This is NOT about being “perfect” or punishing yourself.
Instead, it’s about giving your body what it needs to function at its very best.

Everyone talks about the “before and after.”
The truth is, getting into shape isn’t a straight shot from Point A to Point B…
Especially if you’re a juggling work, sports, kids, and trying to make time for yourself, just getting a workout in or planning one solid meal can feel like a win.
If you’ve ever heard of the term “messy middle”... it’s usually more like that :-)
The more realistic (and rewarding) picture is that your journey is made up of lots of little steps.
Every step…even the ones that feel like detours… holds a lesson.
And when you learn how to course-correct along the way, you start to build:
→ Self-trust
→ Resilience
→ Habits that last
And THAT is what actually gets you to your results — and helps you keep them.

Your body talks to you every day… but if you’re like most of us, you tune it out.
Some days, it might be communicating with you with signals like:
❌ Bloating after meals
❌ Feeling tired even after a full night’s sleep
❌ That weird joint pain that shows up out of nowhere
But other days, you feel amazing:
🌿 You’re clear-headed
🌿 Your stomach feels light
🌿 You actually want to move your body
I don’t know about you, but I want more of those “amazing” days!
The key to making that happen:
Pay attention. Listen to your body and start connecting the dots between your habits and how you feel…
Because everything it’s telling you is FEEDBACK.
And when you start giving your body more of the things that make it feel better… it gives you more of those amazing days right back.

If you think success means constantly doing MORE, pushing HARDER, and always reaching just beyond your capabilities…
It’s time to take a deep breath and relax those shoulders!
The real success — the kind you can live with long after you crush your goals — comes when you choose the simple wins… and keep choosing them every day!
Like:
✅ Adding protein to every meal to keep your energy steady.
✅ Getting 7 hours of sleep even if the to-do list isn’t done.
✅ Grabbing a refreshing non alcoholic beverage instead of a cold beer.
This isn’t fancy or complicated… and yes, it does require a little stubborn discipline.
But it works!

There’s a myth that being healthy has to look like…
✅ Meal prep every Sunday
✅ 5 workouts a week
✅ Cutting out sugar, carbs, and anything remotely fun
But that version of “health” isn’t realistic for most people over the long term…
And (spoiler alert!) you don’t have to live like that in order to feel amazing.
What if sophisticated actually meant… simple?
Things like:
💡 Going to bed early enough to get 8 solid hours of sleep.
💡 Tracking your NON-workout activity to make sure you’re not just active during your workouts.
💡 Rereading your goals at least once a week to stay focused.
These habits might not look flashy on the outside…
But they’re foundational. And they help you stay consistent — without burning out.
Simple isn’t just sustainable… it’s smart!

There’s something sooo satisfying about checking something off your to-do list. (right?!) ✅
That feeling of satisfaction builds momentum…
Even when the effort is small.
And every time you follow through, you’re sending yourself a message: “I do what I said I would.”
It helps you build something powerful: self-efficacy — the knowledge that you can count on yourself to do hard things.
The more you do it, the easier it gets…
