The dropped off FREE food today, including fresh produce and bread for anyone who needs it.

You do NOT have to be a patient to stop by - just come and grab what you need!

The Clinic will be open today until 7:30 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4 PM, so there’s plenty of time to pick up food and connect with care if you need it.

Stronger together 🤝

We recently welcomed Janine Underwood, CEO, and Bryan Lewis, PIC, from Bradley Free Clinic to NNMFHC for a site visit focused on expanding access to affordable medications through the Access to Medication Program (AMP).

Through AMP and our partnership with RxPartnership, NNMFHC serves as a Central Fill pharmacy, supporting other free clinics without in-house pharmacies by filling prescriptions and reducing barriers to care. This model helps lower costs and ensures patients across the region can access the medications they need, when they need them.

By thinking beyond our individual communities and working collaboratively across Virginia, we’re creating solutions that improve care for uninsured and underserved patients.

It’s a family reunion at NNMFHC with . 😲 🧬

Bryan Lewis, a pharmacist visiting from Bradley Free Clinic in Roanoke, came to learn more about how NNMFHC is structuring our AMP program to expand medication access across the region. During his visit, we discovered he’s cousins with our pharmacist in charge, Brittany Lewis Harding!

Through AMP and our partnership with Rx Partnership, NNMFHC serves as a Central Fill pharmacy - supporting free clinics without in-house pharmacies by filling prescriptions efficiently and helping reduce delays in care.

April 16 is National Healthcare Decisions Day, a nationwide effort to encourage people to talk about and document their healthcare wishes.

Inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s quote that nothing is certain except death and taxes, the idea is simple: do your taxes by April 15 and review your healthcare wishes on April 16.

NNMFHC will be hosting a Healthcare Decisions Day event to help community members learn about advance directives, choosing a healthcare proxy, and starting these important conversations.

Thank you to the Kilmarnock United Methodist Church (KUMC) Men for their generosity to NNMFHC, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad (KLVRS), and the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD).

Through their 51st Annual Spaghetti Dinner, the KUMC Men provided dinner for our volunteers during a Thursday night clinic and made a generous donation to support our work, along with contributions to the local rescue squad and fire department.

We are grateful for community partners who continue to support and strengthen the nonprofits and volunteers who serve our region. 👏

🎉 We did it - our $100,000 Match Goal has been met!

Thanks to an incredibly generous anonymous donor, and every supporter who stepped up, this matching challenge was fulfilled dollar-for-dollar. We are profoundly grateful for a community that believes in access to care and shows up when it matters most. 💚

This milestone is huge, but our work continues. We still have funds to raise to fully support our operating budget for the fiscal year and ensure our uninsured neighbors can access the essential healthcare they need.
