Why It Works Wednesday

Your physical therapist teaches pacing to balance activity and rest when pain or fatigue flares. This approach helps some people stay active without worsening symptoms.
✅ Tip: Doing less at the right time can help long-term progress.

Why It Works Wednesday

When pain, surgery, or medical recovery limits endurance, your physical therapist helps guide a gradual return to movement based on symptom response.

Caregivers need support too. Don’t forget to take care of yourself—you matter just as much. Support groups meet every month at RWC.

Are you an unpaid caregiver for a friend or family member? Join Mary Arthur, Lead Options Counselor at Bay Aging, for a free caregiver support group. We meet virtually and in-person on the first Monday of each month, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM.

Our next meeting is Monday, February 2. The in-person support group meets at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury in the Auditorium (behind the front desk area) at 132 Lancaster Drive in Irvington, VA 22480.

Our Virtual caregiver support group also meets during this time. If you prefer to take part virtually, call Bay Aging in advance at 800-493-0238 to receive the Zoom link and toll-free call-in number.
