The Foundation operates independently, in the sense that we have our own focus and goals, but our main purpose is to ensure that our community has access to quality healthcare in this and future generations! Due to cuts in hospital funding on both state and federal levels over the years, many hospitals have struggled to secure financial support and turn to their foundations for assistance. The Fou
ndation’s mission is to adequately “equip, modernize, update and make aesthetically pleasant, the hospital facilities.” We are invigorated by the desire to maintain and provide these locally relevant services! There are many areas the Foundation has helped and supported community healthcare and we’d love your help doing it! There are also many ways to get involved; overseeing donations, managing endowments and organizing capital campaigns. We also host special events and organize fundraising activities; these efforts serve us all! Funds raised in the past have helped the hospital in countless ways. Won’t you join us today? The government funds salaries, operating costs and contributes to capital projects. But it’s the donors who fund 100 per cent of the equipment used to diagnose, treat and care for patients – from replacing the most basic necessities to investing in sophisticated new technologies! We have worked collaboratively with the Service League, volunteers and hospital staff on many events and opportunitiesto give back. This is a great chance to be part of something bigger than oneself, and serve a greater good. The hospital funds salaries, operating costs and contributes to capitol projects through government and insurance reimbursement for services provided. But it’s the Foundation Donors who assist with much needed equipment that falls outside of what the hospital budgets from payer income.
