The season ends—but your development doesn’t.

Rest. Recover. Rebuild. Then get to work.

What you do in the next few weeks sets the tone for next season. 🏒💪

Five years ago, Light the Lamp PT was just an idea—driven by a love of movement, sports, and helping people feel better in their bodies.

Since then, it’s been filled with ups and downs, challenges, and a whole lot of learning. Some days tested us, others reminded us exactly why we started—but through it all, each year has been better than the one before.

What started small has grown into a community, and we’re incredibly grateful for every patient, athlete, and person who’s trusted us along the way.

Five years in—and we’re just getting started.
Here’s to more growth, more goals, and helping even more people move better in the years ahead! 🚨🏒🥂

Ever feel rock solid on one edge… but unstable on the other?

It’s common for skaters to feel strong and confident on one edge of one skate, but unstable on the opposite side.

This asymmetry often isn’t a skating problem — it’s a foot and ankle control issue. Differences in hallux strength, intrinsic activation, ankle mobility, or prior injury can cause one foot to stabilize well while the other struggles to maintain pressure through the blade.

Over time, players compensate, limiting efficiency and confidence at speed.

Barefoot foot and ankle activation helps address these side-to-side differences so skaters can create more consistent edge pressure and trust both skates equally.

If one edge feels unstable, start with the foot 🦶

A stronger core isn’t about doing more exercises—it’s about doing the right ones.

The McGill Big 3 build stability without stressing your spine. If you’ve had back pain—or want to keep it that way—this may be a great place to start.

Progress isn’t a straight line—it’s a series of steps forward, pauses, pivots, and lessons. Keep showing up. It all counts. 💛

New Year’s resolutions don’t usually fail because of laziness or lack of willpower. They fail because most goals are set too big, too vague, and without support.

Real progress comes from small, intentional steps, a clear plan, and accountability along the way — not an all-or-nothing mindset.

If this year you want change that actually lasts, focus less on motivation and more on building the right system.

✨ Consistency > perfection
✨ Support > willpower

At Light the Lamp Physical Therapy, our mission is to provide high-quality, 1:1, individualized care without forcing patients to choose between personalization and affordability.

That’s why we operate as a hybrid practice.

A hybrid model means we offer the best of both worlds:
• Cash-based care
• Insurance-based care, because we’re in network with one of the most popular insurance carriers in the area

This structure lets us deliver the kind of high-touch, high-quality therapy people typically only find in out-of-network clinics… while still remaining accessible for those who prefer or need to use insurance.

For our patients, this means:
✔️ More flexibility
✔️ More accessibility
✔️ More control over their rehab
✔️Consistent, individualized sessions—no techs, no shared appointments, no rushing
✔️ And ultimately, better outcomes

Whether you’re looking to reduce pain, return to sport, build strength, or move with more confidence, we’re here to help you reach your goals—on your terms.
