We are so proud of our wonderful volunteers. They provide daily neighborly interaction with our patrons, served Thanksgiving dinner (that they made themselves), and formed a wonderful team that sometimes have served with NMOW's for many years. Today we celebrate a new member of our volunteer team. The volunteer in the fall spotlight is Tom Landmesser. Tom volunteers with us 1-2 times per week as a pantry aide. He started with us this summer. He is a great addition to our team. Tom, we thank you for your help at Neighborhood Meals on Wheels!

Bob and Deb Pace moved to Pennsylvania after living in New Jersey all of their lives to help one of their daughters with childcare. They had decided that upon retirement, from retail management for Bob and healthcare management for Deb, they would volunteer some of their time helping others, continuing the example set by their parents.
The first organization they looked into was Neighborhood Meals on Wheels. Deb's Dad was a recipient of Meals on Wheels in his later years in New Jersey. He was always so grateful for the wonderful support that he received. You can see that Neighborhood Meals on Wheels is close to Bob and Deb's hearts.
Bob and Deb enjoy spending their time with their blended family of six children and six grandchildren and (of course) their beloved overly affectionate dog Ricky who gives way too many licks!

Our Neighborhood Meals on Wheels volunteer focus for April 2024 is Nathalie Collautt.

She has recently retired and is enjoying the opportunity of being part of the Neighborhood Meals on Wheels family.
And we are thrilled she has joined us!

Nathalie fulfills her need for helping others by volunteering. Over the years she has been involved in various organizations and has contributed to numerous causes.

As a volunteer she worked 5 years for the Lower Merion Office of Aging. While doing so, she visited and assisted those who had suffered a recent loss of a spouse. Here she was able to provide comfort by being available to listen and share during a sad time. In some cases she assisted with basic shopping needs.

The, for about 15 years she was part of an international technical team, focused on the creation of international standards in the area of data transfer and credentialing and certification.

Our Neighborhood Meals on Wheels volunteer focus for December is John Baker. John and his wife have lived in Upper Merion Township since 1988. They are the parents of two sons, and now have 2 grandchildren as well.
John’s career was in construction and welding.
He retired in 2022. He returned to his previous employer on an “as needed” basis, but is now fully retired.
John started volunteering with NMOW in February 2023. He helps us as a pantry substitute, and fills in willingly whenever we call him. He was recruited by one of our other volunteers and a friend of the Bakers, Pam Miller.
In addition to volunteering, John enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, traveling with his wife, and helping his kids with “projects”.
Thank you, John, for all that you do for Neighborhood Meals on Wheels!
