Your type did not come out of nowhere. It was built over time.

Through what you have experienced, what you have responded to, what you have gotten used to.

Instead of asking why do I like them, ask:
What about them feels familiar?
What role do I usually play here?

That shift alone can change how you see your patterns.

Strong feelings can show up in different ways.

Sometimes they come with a sense of steadiness and ease.
Other times they feel more intense, fast-moving, or uncertain.

Neither is “wrong.” They just offer different kinds of information.

Learning to notice those differences can help bring more clarity to how you experience connection.

After spending time with someone, take a moment to check in with yourself:
Do you feel more settled, or more activated?

That awareness can be really helpful over time.

It’s common to look back on a situation and realize there were moments that stood out more than we realized at the time.

Small shifts.
Subtle feelings.
Things that were hard to name in the moment.

At the same time, it is also natural to hold onto hope, especially when something feels meaningful.

Both can exist together.

When you reflect on a past experience, what do you remember noticing early on?

Not to judge it. Just to understand it a little more clearly.

Wanting something different is real.
But most of us are still drawn to what feels familiar even when it does not work.

Familiar can look like:
• the same emotional availability
• the same communication style
• the same push and pull dynamic

Next time you find yourself questioning your dating patterns, try this:
• Think about the last two or three people you were interested in.
• What felt similar in how things unfolded?
• That is usually where the pattern lives.
• Dig deeper, but don’t forget to be kind to yourself. You’ve taken the best first step!

These are the types of patterns we’ll work through in the Attachment Style Tarot workshop on Sunday, May 17th at

No judgment, just clarity.

You might replay the moment in your head, trying to understand why you reacted the way you did.
But in many cases, your body had already made that decision before you had time to think it through.

The tension, the shutdown, or the reaction you didn’t mean to have can happen quickly, leaving you trying to explain something that already unfolded.

This is not just about logic. It is about safety. Your body is wired to protect you, and it will continue to respond that way until it learns that it does not have to.

Learning how to work with your nervous system, rather than against it, is often where real change begins.

If this keeps happening, it might be time to get support.

That moment when everything shifts and you stop feeling close:

It can feel like something is breaking.
Like you’re suddenly on opposite sides.

At times disconnection can translate as a lack of care, when it’s really overwhelm.

And overwhelm doesn’t know how to stay connected. It knows how to protect.

You’re not at war with each other, even if it feels that way.

04/06/2026

You can be doing all the “right” things and still not feel safe.

Because safety is not just effort.
It is how repair happens.
It is how conflict is held.
It is how your body feels in the presence of another person.

Over time, your nervous system starts to notice what is consistent.
Not what is promised.

That is what builds trust.

Some habits look like discipline, productivity, or responsibility on the outside.
But internally, they can feel exhausting, rigid, or hard to sustain.

We often keep these patterns because they’re familiar.

They’ve worked before, or they helped us get through something difficult.
But over time, what once helped can start to cost more than it gives.

Relationally, this can show up as overextending, overthinking, or constantly pushing through without checking in with yourself.

Pay attention to what feels consistently heavy.
Not everything that drains you is necessary.

Sometimes awareness is the first step toward shifting how you move through your day, your relationships, and your internal world.

Save this for later.
