Randall Christopher Money, 54, of King, NC, passed away after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Woltz Hospice House in Dobson, NC.

Randy was born in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Robert and Rita Burgess Money. He faithfully served as the Pastor of Jonesville Church of God and was known for having an entrepreneurial spirit and a “green thumb.” He was a living testimony of faith; he lived as Christ lived, loved as Christ loved, and saw humanity as Christ saw humanity. He was the epitome of the “good and faithful servant.” He never let go of the faith he had in the God that he served.

Randy was one of those rare people who just made life better by being in it. He had a way of making people feel comfortable instantly. Always laughing. Always smiling. Always pulling people in like they mattered. And he was a hugger too — one of those guys who didn’t just greet people; he made them feel welcome. That’s not common. That’s who Randy was.

What people always respected most about Randy was his faith and his goodness. It wasn’t loud or forced. It was real. It showed up in how he treated people, how he loved Kim, how proud he was of Chris and Triniti, how he cared for Samantha and Camryn, and just the steady way he carried himself through life. That kind of faith doesn’t need attention — it just impacts people quietly over time. And he impacted a lot more people than he probably ever realized. The world is honestly a better place because he was here.

We are going to show up, do what we need to do, and keep moving forward. Not because it doesn’t hurt, but because that’s what Randy would do. He was strong in a quiet way like that. He kept going. He kept showing up. So, we’ll do the same today, even with this weight on us.

Randy was funny. Genuinely funny. Not forced, not rehearsed. Just quick, natural humor that could break the tension in a room instantly. He could walk in, say something simple, and everybody would end up laughing. And he always laughed too — like he actually enjoyed life, even in the middle of everything going on. That’s something we’ll never forget about him.

And the hugs… Randy didn’t just say hello. He meant it. He made people feel like they mattered. Like they were seen. That’s a rare thing.

There’s going to be a real emptiness without Randy around. Not just in big moments, but in the small ones too. The kind of small moments we don’t think about until someone like him isn’t there anymore. It’s going to be felt by a lot of people — his family especially. Kim, Chris, Triniti, Samantha, and Camryn…all of them carry his love, his influence, his presence. And they’re going to feel his absence in a way words can’t fix.

We can already picture Randy in Heaven… walking in like he belongs there, probably laughing about something within five minutes, making everybody feel comfortable like he always did here. That sounds exactly like him.

One thing we’ll always carry with us is how real Randy was. The same man everywhere he went. He didn’t just talk about faith — he lived it. Quiet, steady, faithful. That matters more than people realize.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 33 years, Kimberly Burrow Money; his son, Christopher Money and wife Samantha; his daughter, Triniti Dixon-Money; three brothers, Robert Money, Jr. and wife Julie, Rodney Money and wife Liz, and Ryan Bennett and wife Candice; two sisters: Cheryle Settle and husband Kevin, and Chasidy Hill and husband Jesse, his granddaughter, Camryn Gail Money; his beloved stepmother, Kathy Money; his father and mother-in law, Tommy and Jane Burrow, whom he loved; and a very special couple, David and Debbie Harris, who he called Mama Deb, along with several other special family members.

In addition to his parents, Robert Money, Sr., and Rita Burgess Money, he was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mount Airy Church of God, 1313 Carter St., Mt. Airy, NC.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Mt. Airy Church of God with Christopher Money officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC.

Flowers are appreciated, or memorial donations may be made to the Church of God Children’s Home, 3485 Wetherby Cir. Concord, NC 28027 or http://www.cogch.org.

It is with sadness we announce the death of Mary Smith Alderman on May 16, 2026. Mary was married to her lifelong love, McKiver Alderman, for 70 years when he predeceased her in 2023.
She is survived by her children, Lauren Alderman Coe, David Alderman, Bradley and Teresa Alderman, and Melanie and James Bodenhamer. Her Grandchildren, the Joys of her life, Jonathan Middleton, Allyson and Jon Lessard, Benjamin and Taylor Alderman, Nathan and Kaitlyn Alderman, and Mattie and Colby Duggins. The Great Grandchildren who light up her life, Lilly and Flint Lessard, Lainey and
Emmett Alderman and Jameson Duggins. Her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Smith, Barbara Smith, and Linda Alderman. She loved being Aunt Mary to a large delegation of nieces and nephews.
Mary was born on November 4, 1934, in Stokes County to William Andrew and Mattie Moss Smith. She was the 8th of their 11 children: Drudy (and Della) Smith, Jonah (and Margie) Smith, Elmer (and Olene) Smith, Owen (and Dovie) Smith, Thelma (and Ernest) Shelton, Stella (and Bruce) Sprinkle, Marjorie (and Jack) Herndon, Gray (and Ruth) Smith, Wallace (and Barbara) Smith, and Gerald (and Bonnie) Smith. Mary became the last surviving member of their family when her younger brother Gray predeceased her by only 4 days.
McKiver and Mary were devoted lifetime members of Jefferson Christian Church, where they raised their family. Mary was an active volunteer for Jefferson, serving as a Sunday School teacher, singing in the Choir, and in other capacities wherever needed.
Mary was employed by and retired from Sara Lee Hosiery in Product Development in August 1994. She served on the Board of Directors of HanesBrands Credit Union. Following her retirement, Mary took great pride in attending to the care of her five grandchildren all the while convincing them broccoli was the new candy and nothing else in their lives is as important as knowing God.
As the Grands grew older, Mary began to volunteer helping elderly folks in our community. She soon became affiliated with Blessed Assurance, a company that does the same. One of her favorite clients, Mrs. Sullivan, shared these words of wisdom with Mary, which she now shares with you: “I will do the best I can, where I am, and with what I have for Jesus’ sake today.”
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 7:00 pm at Jefferson Christian Church, with visitation following the service.
