In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we are all left with a different perspective on life as we know it. Many lives in our community and throughout the state will be forever changed by this disaster. While we are beginning to regain a sense of normalcy, we will continue to support those who have suffered immense losses and encourage others who have the means to do the same.

Many of us have already found ways to help and have a heart to try and do more. As the needs of our neighbors in WNC continue to develop, take time to think about how you can help with things you may already have extras of or by purchasing new supplies.

Pastors Michael and Nakisha Wenzel at King’s City Church are organizing a collection of essential winter items. They are seeking donations of propane tanks, camping stoves, sleeping bags, coats, jackets, sweaters, gloves, and winter hats to be distributed to those in the mountainous regions affected by the hurricane. If you are donating used items, please inspect the items and wash them before donating. We want those in need to feel good in clean and warm clothes. Your contributions can provide warmth and comfort to those in need during this challenging time. Together, we can help rebuild our community and show our solidarity with those who are struggling.

Items can be dropped off at our office for us to take them over or directly at the Church. Please let us know if you have questions!
