Nonprofits throughout the country work to promote awareness and offer assistance to individuals who otherwise would not be able to afford it. Their activities contribute to the shaping of our society and provide hope for a brighter future.

We all contribute in some manner, whether it’s by volunteering, giving, or just spreading the word about a nonprofit. In 2017, Americans donated more than $400 billion to a variety of charity organizations. What a great example of teamwork!

SJNC @ The Golden Games!

Recently, residents of St. Johnland participated in the Suffolk County Golden Games. Susan Sipko brought home a silver medal for the “Bean Bag Distance Throw,” and the entire team was recognized with a “Team Spirit Award” for their enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Ten teams representing different nursing centers throughout Suffolk County gathered at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue and participated in a variety of events including the wheelchair relay, volleyball and bowling. St. Johnland has been participating in this annual event since 2006!
