Team USMT is made up of therapists from all over the country andI am super excited to be a part of this amazing experience!

Just Kidding! While I do use tools in my practice, I’ve had extensive training and years of experience working with my tools using the IASTM technique. I was taught by my mentor Lori-Ann from Ultimate Sports Massage in Camp Lejeune, NC.

This means I’ve learned the science behind why and when to use the tools and when to not use them. Not only that, but I also have a softer approach.

You’ll receive quality results that last longer from a focused massage therapist without feeling like your limbs are going to fall off. 💪🏻✨

So yeah, the tools look scary but there’s no need to be afraid!

Started antibiotics but of course we will need to let the culture grow a little bit.

We will talk with ID tomorrow.

For now, he’s as comfortable as he can be. There’s no rooms available so we are camping out in the ED until something opens up and/or we get some answers.

Quick shout out to the amazing people at home. ✨ thank you to everyone that’s been helping my husband and I out with our older boys; taking them in for sleep overs and such while we spend so much time with Benji in the hospital.

Thank you for your support and prayers, the coffee, the hugs, the cards, the treats that make the big brothers smile, everything. It doesn’t go unnoticed. 🧡✨🙏🏻

🚨 LUDUS is still closed. We don’t know at this moment when our Benji will be discharged. We are still awaiting test results and when those come in, we will be able to treat Benjamin with the right medicines to get him better. Hoping for antibiotics and prophylactic meds to prevent these infections. Right now, the bacteria he’s fighting is aggressive and can move into the blood stream if not treated properly.

He’s slowly getting better, Praise the Lord!

We are doing everything we can to take care of our son as well as the other two boys we have at home.

When I get more answers, I will better determine when I may be at work and can open the doors again.

I apologize for the back and forth these past two months. It’s been rough medically with Benjamin.

🚨LUDUS IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Prayers needed right now please.

Benjamin was in the ER yesterday due to severe constipation, lethargy, lack of appetite, decreased fluid intake, and high fever. He has also been complaining of his lower back hurting.

We were sent home yesterday when told “all scans / urinalysis looked great and to continue miralax.” We felt okay with that answer because Benjamin did seem better.

But he woke up this morning still not feeling great. Despite miralax as well as pain relievers, his fever climbed up to 104 and he was very clearly in more pain.

Now, after several hours of an extensive ultrasound and blood work, it’s confirmed he has an infection.

But we don’t know where or what from.

He also won’t p*e which is incredibly concerning considering his medical history. His ultrasound of the kidneys did show bilateral lower pole calyceal dilation.

Now I don’t usually like going to Google as it can bring up scary things a mommy doesn’t like to know about BUT I also like to be prepared. Looking some of this stuff up, like hydronephrosis, allows me to come up with questions for the specialists that I need to ask for Benji. Questions to make sure he’s being properly treated as well as gain an understanding of what’s going on or what will happen. I’m one of those people that not only needs to know what’s going on but wants to know the doctors’ thoughts on every little thing instead of blindly watching.

Please pray for our Benjamin. He’s still fighting his fever and is in pain.

We will be here for at least the next 24-48 hours.

Please pray the cultures come back with something so we can get him a specific antibiotics. Please pray we find out what’s going on with his kidneys. Please pray we find out where the infection is coming from.

Am I scared? Of course being his mommy my heart and mind are racing a little bit. But I know God’s got Benji. I trust the Lord will take care of him. Whatever his plans are for Benji, I will trust. And my job right now is to not worry; I will advocate, I will give snuggles and kisses, I will be mommy.

✨YES, I AM BACK 💪🏻✨

August was a little bit crazy 🤪 but all things are good with my son and he’s recovering well from his surgery.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your kindness, patience, and understanding.

I am back in the office now and spending my down time catching up on phone calls, messages, and getting y’all back on the schedule.
