🙌🏻✨Prayers have been answered! 🙏🏻✨

After a stressful couple of weeks, lots of doctors visits, and plenty of phone calls my son and I are headed back to Baltimore, Maryland!

We tried to stay local but it didnt quite work out. But God has a plan for everything.

Our son will undergo an important inguinal hernia repair on 08/21 at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center and we will be staying for about a week to make sure everything goes well. We trust this is where we were meant to be and the doctors and staff will take great care of our Benji.

I have continued thanks and appreciation for all of y’all. Thank you for the thoughts, patience, and prayers.

Good Afternoon,

An update on the family and my temporary office closure.

LUDUS is to remain closed until my youngest can receive his surgery and until he recovers. Speaking with his surgeon up north as well as local doctors; 4 different hospitals in 3 states, his surgery needs to be done asap. He was supposed to have the procedure done this past week but insurance approvals and getting the doctors on the same page has been a nightmare. We were able to push the consult for surgery to today so we are hoping for Benjamin to be taken care of this week! On top of the phone calls and emails, we have been keeping Benjamin close. While an inguinal hernia repair seems to be a routine surgery that can be held off for a bit, it's not routine for a Bladder Exstrophy toddler who already had hernia repairs done in the past.

We are doing our very best as parents to make sure Benjamin gets the care he needs and quickly. As far as LUDUS goes, I have to remain closed due to not being able to rely on my husband's work schedule and not having childcare. As soon as my son has his surgery and we know the estimated recovery time, I will be able to open back up again.

In the meantime, I thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding. I know how frustrating it is to look forward to an appointment made for self care and wellness and then have it cancelled; especially when you rely on me to feel better. I will be sending each of my clients a list of colleagues that you can get scheduled with.

Please be reassured your appointments will be taken care of. Whether you're a recurring client or a new client with a gift card, as soon as all this settles out, you will be taken care of.

🚨OFFICE CLOSED🚨

Family Emergency

Our youngest, Benjamin, was in the ER last night, this time for an inguinal hernia. We have been awaiting guidance from John Hopkins in Baltimore, MD and they finally got back to us. Our son will need urgent surgery, to be done within the week. My husband and I are working diligently to handle all the moving parts. Its more difficult to repair a hernia on a Bladder Exstrophy child so we have to find a surgeon locally to perform surgery or make an emergency trip to Maryland.

As you can imagine, my family and I are a bit overwhelmed. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience, especially since I have had to reschedule many appointments recently from his UTI a week ago. I am unsure of how long the office will be closed.

I will do my very best to keep everyone updated.

Please pray for my family during this time.

✨OPEN!✨

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers while our sweet Benjamin stayed the week at Wolfsons Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

I never like it when the office closes. As a small business owner, it’s incredibly stressful when you have to suddenly lock up shop. But I’m a mother first and my children are my number one priority.

As many of yall know, my third baby was born with Bladder Exstrophy, hip dysplasia, and Epispadias. With these congenital defects, he’s very much prone to UTIs. Unfortunately his body has fought some pretty aggressive infections which require strong IV antibiotics and long hospital stays.

I appreciate yalls patience and understanding with closing the office down for an entire week while I stayed with him in the hospital. Yalls love, support, and prayers mean the world to my family.

My youngest son is currently admitted at Wolfsons in Jacksonville, FL for yet another UTI. We pray it’s not as aggressive as his infections in the past .

Have a kiddo ready to play? They’ve already started conditioning for the summer but registration doesn’t end until August 1st!

For ages 5-12, your child will not only learn the fundamentals of tackle football but will be skilled in athletic determination, endurance, strength, as well as be a part of a team that encourages and lifts players up with bravery, heart, and sportsmanship.

🔍✨Spot the difference?

Used a NeuroFascial Release method on this big guy and corrected some major postural dysfunctions.

We all know, our techniques aren’t exactly relaxing and he said, “yeah, it kind of hurt but i can take it!” This brave 8 year old powered through just 5 minutes of this method, communicating the entire time so we didn’t go past his pain threshold, and could see and feel the difference in his body.

5 minute session… that’s all it took. Next week we will continue our work and see our progress!

Why? 🤷🏻‍♀️
As some of you may know, I have been struggling with my youngest son’s medical issues of Bladder Exstrophy since my pregnancy with him. It’s been challenging at times juggling the surgeries, appointments, travel and time off work.

The attention we’ve needed to give our youngest has brought up the conversation of homeschooling our older two sons. And after much discussion and prayer, our family has decided to take that leap.

However, it has also led me to the decision to downsize my business. This choice ultimately stems from my desire to listen to God’s plan for me and my family. I’ll admit it was a difficult decision to make.

I have had big plans for my business and a dream to work towards. It’s hard to see something you’ve worked so hard to create seemingly “fail.” But God is the planner, the engineer, and the designer of our life. Everything He does is beautiful and perfect. I’ve had to change my mindset, even if I don’t fully understand the “what” or the “why.” Putting my own desires behind and following Gods direction has given me so much comfort and relief.

In moments like these, I find comfort in the words of Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Sometimes, we don’t immediately understand God’s plan, but when we take a moment to reflect and accept His guidance, what may seem like an end is often the beginning of something GREATER! ✨

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to this incredible community that has supported my business throughout the years. Your encouragement and loyalty have meant the world to me, and I want to assure you that I am still here for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re in need. Whether it be a referral to a like-minded therapist or a suggestion for stretches and self-manual therapy, I’ve got your back. While my business may be changing, my commitment to you remains steadfast.

By the end of summer I’ll be moved next door, I’ll only be available for massage a couple days a week and I will still not be available for new clientele.
