Did you know the letters in the word “listen” can also form the word “silent”? This is a beautiful reminder when spending time with someone who is grieving. Talking less and listening more allows them to open up and express what they’re thinking and feeling. Your presence and support are what they need most.

Our Story

Putnam Funeral Home and Crematory began as a way for Chris Putnam to help those during their most vulnerable moments. A former paramedic and certified firefighter, Chris discovered his calling in helping families through a time of loss. He strongly believes in helping families through their grief, and after studying generational theory for over 10 years, he concluded that Funeral Homes need to offer cremation and burial services based on what the individual or family needs, and not based on what has always been done. Therefore we at Putnam are dedicated to listening to our clients and looking for innovative, personal, and meaningful ways to empower our families and assist them in building a positive foundation for grief - on their terms.
