Sharing the whereabouts of two more former SOFHA docs.

Dr. Katie Prosser reached out to let you all know she’ll be joining HealthStar Physicians out of Morristown. She will be practicing along with Zach Sumpter, DO.

They will be called HealthStar Primary Care of Kingsport.
📍1526 Bridgewater Lane
(just off of Stone Dr.)

They hope to be up and running in March or April.

Their phones are not connected yet, but they will update their social media page as soon as they are activated.

Ever wondered why your prescription might take a little longer? 🤔 It could be due to a 'prior authorization' process.

A prior authorization, or “P.A.,” is like a permission slip from your insurance to make sure you get the best care. When a P.A. is required, our technicians will submit a request to the prescribing physician.

Your physician then works directly with your insurance to expedite the approval process. This typically takes up to 72 hours, but most patients only need to get the medication approved once a year. 💊🔍
