I am honored and feel very blessed to have been able to safely, so thoroughly, and holistically help so many folks with chiropractic care for a quarter of a century. I should add that while I was young, western medicine failed both my parents in their healthcare issues to a nearly and eventually terminal effect. I was positive that a healthy lifestyle, less reliance on drugs and a much more natural approach would be so much more effective for a long, happy, productive and healthy life. I am SO thankful and happy to help so many as a chiropractor.
Dr. William Hamilton has deep roots in East Tennessee, both personally and professionally. Following in the footsteps of his father, an optometrist, he wanted a career that allowed him to help people. He decided that chiropractic would allow provide him with the best chance to help people improve their overall health and quality of life. A “Vol for life,” he studied Pre-Chiro/Pre-Med at University of Tennessee Knoxville, before completing his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Studies at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. Only then did he venture to Marietta, Ga. to continue his education at Life University. where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1998. After graduation, he returned to TN and joined the TCA just a few days later. He settled back in his hometown of Kingsport where he joined Appalachian Chiropractic, led by 3rd generation chiropractor, Dr. Ronald Chambers. There, he also got to know Dr. Mary Chambers (Dr. Ronald’s mother) who was one of, if not the first female DC in the state of TN.
Through chiropractic care, Dr. Hamilton has continued the family tradition of helping people live more comfortably and with better health. With over 25 years under his belt, he is proud to say that the clinic has been serving the NE TN and SW VA community in that same location for over 85 years! During that time, he has consistently supported his profession through membership in the TCA and is a familiar face at TCA events. We celebrate Dr. Hamilton’s dedicated service to his community and look forward to the milestones to come!
