At 80 years old and even after a knee replacement last year, Betty Kellenberger has become the oldest female to thru-hike the entire Appalachian Trail. “We put all sorts of limitations on ourselves…Sometimes the biggest one is we don’t get up and try it.”
Do not give up and too easily and put limitations on yourself. At Appalachian Chiropractic we can most often help our patients to not only get out of pain or at least greatly minimize it, but also help improve quality of life to be able to do the activities one needs or wants to do.

We are excited to announce the return of massage therapy in early August and even more so that it will be performed by our own very talented Crystal Stidham LMT. If you visited us in 2007-8 you may remember her from then as our part-time receptionist!

Crystal Stidham is a native of Daytona Beach, Florida. At the age of 16 she moved to Kingsport, Tennessee, where she graduated from Dobyns-Bennett and completed Bachelor Degrees in both Biology and Studio Art at East Tennessee State University. With a penchant for healing arts and physical activity, she furthered her professional and personal studies by way of massage school, Body Code energy work, nutritional therapy and CrossFit after moving to Nebraska in 2011. “I have been loving what I get to share ever since, and I am so excited to be returning to the mountains of Northeast Tennessee! Drawing from a host of modalities, I create a therapeutic blend of what feels most beneficial for each client within the scope of practice of massage therapy."

Take the time to prevent injury! Make sure the item is close and directly in front of you. A good rule of thumb after lowering your rear is to level your head or tilt it up slightly in order to curve your low back slightly forward.
