A day to remember at The Arc Mid-Hudson, as we proudly hosted an uplifting event in partnership with The Ability Experience, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and promoting understanding of individuals with disabilities through cycling and community engagement. This was the second year in a row that the agency was able to host this event.

The Ability Experience riders, who are on a statewide journey to promote inclusion, spent the afternoon with the individuals supported by The Arc Mid-Hudson and the dedicated staff who serve them every day. The energy was high, and the atmosphere was full of joy as guests, family, and participants shared moments of connection, laughter, and fun. From the moment they arrived, the Ability Experience team demonstrated kindness, compassion, and genuine respect for everyone they met.

The afternoon was packed with activities, including dancing, engaging games, and delicious food that brought everyone together. Music filled the air as participants hit the dance floor, while others joined in outdoor games.

We are also extremely thankful for the generous $1,500 donation given to The Arc Mid-Hudson by the Ability Experience.

Some of our folks went to Yogi Bear Jelly Stone park for a weekend of camping fun! They pitched tents and explored the campgrounds, walked the nearby creek picking shells and looking for wildlife, while others "took in nature" by the fire pit. The night ended with s'mores and laughs before bed. It was a great weekend for everyone!

We are beyond grateful to MyTown Marketplace and their customers in Rosendale and Stone Ridge for selecting The Arc Mid-Hudson as the July recipient of their Change Round-Up program. Thanks to your support, an incredible $5,234.78 was raised for the new adaptable playground at Brookside School. 💙

This gift brings us so much closer to making the dream of an inclusive, accessible playground a reality for our students.

Happy 30 years to the McGiffert Residence! 🎉

The McGiffert Residence was established in May of 1995. On July 11, 2025, we celebrated 30 years! Two individuals, out of the original six, still live here today. It was such a lovely gathering of friends, and we all had a great time. Thank you to Heidi and staff who came and helped out.
