Have you seen the movie Collateral Beauty, With Wil Smith?

When the movie was over I thought that was good, I didn’t expect the ending. Just in case you haven’t seen the movie I won’t give anything away.

While watching the movie I had feelings, thought and judgments about the characters and where it was all leading to.

Slowly towards the end you start to see the Collateral Beauty start to unfold. That put me in a contemplative mind set. How many times has there been situations or life events that were life changing or devastating, and then looked back to see the collateral beauty. I will admit sometimes it can feel hard to find but I promise you it is there.

I would like to invite anyone having a hard time finding the collateral beauty in your life to reach out and let’s have a conversation and see if together we can find your collateral beauty.

Validation:
I had an insight this weekend about being validated. Meaning: recognition or affirmation that a person or their feelings or opinions are valid or worthwhile.
Some of you may know that I am a very proud GaGa (grandma) of two young men. As much as possible I participate or attend in as many activities as I can with them. School plays, concerts, grandparents day, sports, I am very interested in everything they do outside of their home activities.
Not to say that home or family activities are not important, they are because it builds bonds with the family, teaches how families and community works together. Such as when a family member or a friend needs help with their house or car or has health issue. We all come together to rebuild, fix or just support that person or family.
When children are young, we do join in their activities, we get on the floor and play with them, and they will take our hand and walk us around telling us all about the world around them. They invited us to participate in their world.
As they get older and their lives get bigger and influenced by school, friends, teachers, coaches. They are directed by other adults or groups and it is harder for them to invite us into their world; they just want to be accepted. That’s when they really need us as their family and friends to notice them; even when they don’t act like it, we are their family and we have the love to validate them in their world.
Sometimes we plan activities for kids with the best intention to spend time with them and get to know them to be a part of their lives. But what I just got is that as they grow and their world grows so does their need for US to join them, to see them practicing being young adults. And sometimes that means seeing them from a distance; they know and want us to watch to keep them safe but not intrude. It is such a fine line but so important.
Bottom line is when we have the opportunity to go to school events or sporting events we as adults are being drawn in and invited into their world. Being a part of their inner circle, letting us see them in there element. I will say, at first I thought they didn’t really care if I was there or not. They never made me feel like oh yeah GaGa is here watching me. But what I know is that they do know when I am there and it does matter that their friends and coaches know that I am there. And when their friends and coaches talk to me it crates confidence in them because they know they are loved.

Great way to understand "feelings and emotions"

Feelings flow. They are energy moving through us, creating a vibrant connection with the living web. Where our energy fields are clear and thriving, feelings move in a pure nourishing current, uplifting and enlivening us. Where our energy fields are blocked and dysfunctional, pure feeling distorts into raw emotion.

Emotion is pure feeling under pressure. Charged emotions arise from disruptions in our psyches. Without exception, anger, grief, fear, bitterness and all such emotions are evidence of an opportunity for healing.

Healing at this level requires new understandings of energy, consciousness and Spirit and how to engage them for transformation. As with all new things, there is a learning curve involved, but it a journey well worth taking. As this territory opens up, we can discover that healing can unfold with ever-increasing grace and ease.

When these energies transform, that which was once blocked now becomes a clear pathway for energy to move through your being without distortion. As you unblock your energy field, you become a conduit for Joy, Peace, Love & deep Presence. Your feelings flow, uniting you in the loving dance of Creation.

Do you ever just stand in front of your closet and stare into it hoping something will jump out at you and say wear me, wear me.
There is an easy way to find out what your body wants to wear.
Focus on one thing in your closet, if your body sways forward that’s what it wants to wear. If it sways backwards don’t wear it.
Just as an experiment try both ways. Let me know how it works for you.
It’s all about energy, everything is energy and It’s All in the knowing.
