Watkins Equine Sports Services

Watkins Equine Sports Services Amy Watkins is an Equine Body Work Specialist, certified and practicing in the field since 2000.

Amy Watkins is a renowned Equine Sports Massage Therapist, certified and practicing in the field since 2001. Amy is known for her 'whole horse' approach, and ability to partner not only with horse owners, but with farriers, veterinarians, and all those involved in the care of a particular horse, to determine the best course of action to benefit the animal. Amy challenges the conventional and thinks outside the box with regard to the needs of a particular horse, and consistently pursues the best course of action for the equine, putting the horse first on all occasions. A veteran equestrian and avid jumper, Amy has an intimate understanding of the anatomy and physiology of an equine athlete, and the challenges associated with keeping a performance horse in optimum health. Amy has a deep comprehension of the mechanics of equine movement, across all disciplines, and is able to translate this knowledge into techniques that tangibly benefit the horse. Amy has worked on some of the top equine athletes in the country, in addition to keeping pleasure horses and even retired horses comfortable and happy. Always eager to learn and improve upon her own vast skill set, Amy frequents clinical studies with veterinarians and immerses herself in the most recent knowledge and information that the industry has to offer. Amy works with all breeds, and will travel to your farm on a flexible schedule. Amy Watkins Equine Sports Massage Therapy is accepting requests for new appointments: message us to schedule a time for your horse to experience the difference that Amy Watkins Equine Sports Massage Therapy can make in the life and comfort of your horse.

Cold weather changes how horses move and how they use their bodies. Extra layers, reduced turnout, and slippery footing can all contribute to shoulder tightness. Consistent bodywork helps support comfort, range of motion, and overall soundness through winter. ❄️

Happy New Year everyone! And let's welcome in the Year of the Horse 🐴✨

The Year of the Horse is all about strength, heart, freedom, and forward motion - pretty fitting if you ask us.

We’re kicking off the year celebrating the horses who keep us grounded, honest, and always moving in the right direction. Our team will be sharing photos in the comments with the horse that most inspires them and the quality they love most. 🫶

This TrueRelief session is helping reduce pain and inflammation while the horse stays comfortable, relaxed, and right at home in their routine. ❤️‍🩹 Sessions are short and non-invasive. How perfect is that?
