I am surprised at how many people today do not know about what happened at Willowbrook. This was an atrocity that occurred only a few decades ago here in New York State. It was in those buildings that we imprisoned innocent human beings and then experimented on them, mistreated, neglected and abused them for years. Many were little children.

Anti trans phobia is out of control. Discrimination is widely acceptable for trans people. This poor guy is non-verbal and autistic for crap's sake not even trans. His Mom is a hero for filing this suit. Disabled folks are also discriminated against. People seem to think it is ok to make fun of people with disabilities.... it is open season for bullying and discrimination against anyone who is a little different than the rest.

City of Poughkeepsie offering loans for home repairs to seniors. Total project costs per household cannot exceed $7,500 and funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
