Across NYS, whether rural or urban, WIC’s remote services have helped families access WIC while juggling life— work, transportation, child care, preschool, weather, and illness. This temporary modernization to the program will expire nationwide on September 30, 2026 without Congressional action. Let’s make sure WIC stays in the 21st century and get the MODERN WIC Act passed!

We’re thrilled to highlight a special session: “Supporting Breastfeeding Multiples: Best Practices and Insights.” Tiffany (Tipper) Gallagher, will guide us through the unique challenges—and solutions—when breastfeeding twins, triplets, or more. Multiples are a small percentage of births, but they come with their own adventures—often born early, with lower birth weights, and of course, more than one to feed at once!

Tipper will share common challenges, best practices, and practical tips to help make breastfeeding multiples a success!

WIC Works!
It supports NYS parents, infants, and young children. Now we’re calling on New York State Assembly Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins and Governor Kathy Hochul to invest an additional $30M in this year’s budget to support NYSDOH - New York State Health Department WIC across NYS.

These are a few of the WIC Voices from across the state who are standing up for WIC and the families who depend on it.

We are proud to highlight our sustaining sponsor, Aldus Pharmacy, for their incredible support of WIC families across New York City. Their commitment to providing free delivery of breastmilk substitutes helps ensure families can access what they need, when they need it--breaking down barriers and making a meaningful difference every day.

The final State budget is due today, April 1. However, negotiations among State leadership are still happening, meaning a budget may not be finalized until later this month. So, what now?

This means the entire WIC community must continue to advocate and push for the inclusion of investments that will support children and families across the state.

WIC Wednesdays!
Make some noise every Wednesday until an additional $30M in NYSDOH WIC funding is included in the NY State budget.
