‼️To all our fans, past and present and our awesome supporters throughout the years‼️

It's been a very long 5 months waiting for gyms to finally be allowed to open back in NY State.

This pandemic has had a devastating impact to the fitness industry as well as many other small businesses that have been forced to close permanently.

Unfortunately, our Further Fitness physical location is one of them. We have spent quite a few years building a truly wonderful community...a place for everyone to feel comfortable in their gym working towards their goals. Whether it was strength, weight loss or just wanting to feel good.

We appreciate the time we had with our community and are truly grateful for all of our members that have come through our doors entrusting us to give them the best service possible.

It's hard to fathom that the best thing one can do especially during this pandemic, being healthy and strong, seems to be the thing that is the most difficult to accomplish. Whether it's because of shutdowns, fear of crowds and contact or intimidation of starting.

We believe that you shouldn't shut down working on your health and fitness just because our physical business has been shut down.

We are very excited and happy for all the gym owners who have been able to keep their facility.💝🥳

⭐Did you know that the power of habit can HELP you when you are tired, stressed, or overwhelmed?💪

✅According to researchers, that’s when we actually tend to rely on our habits (both good AND bad!) the most!!

👉Our habits (once we’ve developed them) require very little effort – they are automatic behaviors.

So it makes sense that we fall back on them when we don’t have a lot of energy, according to researcher Wendy Wood, who wrote the book Good Habits, Bad Habits.

🍎This is all the more reason to lean into and develop good habits when things are going great – they’ll help carry you through times when you need it the most

💡BONUS TIP: If you’re looking to quit a bad habit, Wood suggests finding a replacement habit instead.

For example, if you normally scroll your phone during lunch, find something else that’s just as enjoyable – like reading a book or going for a walk.

👩‍🎨🎸Or, if you want to cut back on nighttime snacking, work on a hobby or new skill (like woodworking, playing the guitar, or you name it!).

🤔Writing your goals down is an important part of the goal-setting setting process.

💡It’s tempting to believe that simply thinking about your goal (“keeping it in mind”) is effective.

📔✏And while it’s definitely helpful to THINK about your goal, actually writing it down takes it to the next level.

💭According to self development expert and author Brian Tracy, most of us have about 1,500 thoughts a minute (!!!!). Most of those thoughts overlap, plus they are jumbled, vague, and unfocused.

✌Writing your goals helps give you clarity and motivation to see them through. Rereading and clarifying your goals over time also gives them more power!

Takeaway: It’s worth spending a few minutes thinking about – and then writing down! – your goals! And if you want to boost the power, REREAD your goals every single morning.

✨💡There’s one powerful predictor of success when it comes to seeing a project, habit, or goal through to the end … 🔥

💹… it’s a GROWTH MINDSET.

🤔It’s having the BELIEF that you are capable of learning new skills, achieving great goals, developing new habits, or doing whatever you set your mind to.

🏆Here are just a few steps you can take to build your mindset:

👉1. Put yourself in a positive environment. Surround yourself with people who support and empower you to be your best self. Read self development books, listen to podcasts, and seek out mentors who inspire you.

👉2. Watch your words and inner dialogue Replace negative thoughts and words with positive ones. This makes a huge difference.

👉3. Know that “perfect” doesn’t exist. Find ways to enjoy the journey of reaching your goals instead of chasing perfection. It’s all about who you BECOME in the process.

👉4. Follow your own path. Focus on your strengths (versus any perceived weaknesses) and use them to power you forward.

⚡ In the long run, consistent effort will get you a LOT farther than natural talent!

💡You already know exactly what to do! 💡

⭐ That is the finding of a fascinating new study that came out earlier this year from the website clearerthinking.org.

🔥They studied more than 500 people who wanted to create healthy habits. As part of their research, they actually ran 5 different studies and analyzed more than 1,000 follow-up surveys.

And they found 1 habit formation technique that OUTPERFORMED all the others.

🏆The winner: HABIT REFLECTION … and it’s something you can do right now!

If you’re trying to create a habit (like working out, eating a healthier diet, etc.), here’s how Habit Reflection works.

✅First: Pick a situation from the past where you had success in changing a habit or behavior.

Example: maybe when you were in school, you decided to bring up your grades. Or at work, you went for a new job or promotion.

✅Second: Write down what you learned from that past situation. How did you do it? Were there any tactics or motivations that helped drive you forward? What specifics can you remember.

✅Lasty: Create a plan that applies your past lessons to your new habit or goal.

Following that process helped push study participants an average of 0.7 more times a week than other techniques.

‼ That doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s actually a 140% improvement over the second-most-effective technique.

🤗Plus, the people in the study reported more satisfaction with the process than other groups!

🏊♀️🚲♀️I’m talking about movies like Seabiscut, Rocky, Rudy, The Karate Kid, The Last Dance, Miracle, Hoosiers, and The Blind Side.

Videos are so powerful because they work on an EMOTIONAL level and help spark a growth mindset by showing that change is possible, with tangible results.
