Terrell Nathaniel Taylor was born on October 15, 2004, in Dillon, SC to Joyce Ann McMillan and Phillip Taylor, Sr. Throughout his early childhood, Terrell was fearless, full of joy, and the life of the party. His happiness was contagious and deeply felt by all who had the privilege of being around him.
Terrell enjoyed making people laugh, playing video games, watching horror movies with his siblings, spending time with cousins, nephews and nieces, and his favorite hobby of all was eating. Terrell had a passion for landscaping and whenever given the opportunity, he loved to make the lawns of those in the community, beautiful. Additionally, some of his best traits were being innately kind and compassionate. He routinely called his family to let them know how much he loved and cared for them.
Terrell is predeceased by his grandparents, Callie Jane McMillan of Dillon, SC, Sampson (Shooter) McCleod of Dillon, SC, Shirley and Joe Taylor of Raleigh, NC; aunts Francine McMillan of Dillon, SC and Rose Taylor of Raleigh, NC; Uncles Jerry McMillan of Dillon, SC, June Taylor and Alan Taylor of Raleigh, NC.
Terrell is survived by his parents, Joyce McMillan of Dillon, SC, Phillip Taylor, Sr of Dillon, SC; brothers-Brandon McMillan, Phillip Taylor II, Zachary Taylor, Denzel Taylor, James Taylor; sisters-Fontella McMillan, Philana McMillan, Franchesca McMillan, Faith Bethea (Zammar Bethea), Faneshia (Rose)Taylor; nieces-Harmony Gebreyes, Delilah Taylor, Alonnie Denkins, Ava Taylor, and Haisley Gebreyes; nephews-Damaris McMillan, Eugene McMillan, Phillip Taylor III (PJ), David Taylor, Theodore (Theo) Taylor; aunts and uncles-Gloria Dawkins (Clarence Dawkins), Curtis McMillan (Betty McMillan), Alexandar McMillan, of Dillon, SC Robert Taylor, Greg Taylor, and JoAnn Taylor of Raleigh, NC and a host of cousins and friends.
Terrell will always be remembered as kind-hearted, comedian, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Although he is no longer here with us in the physical, we will ensure that his spirit lives on forever within all of us.

With sorrow, we at Dimery & Rogers Funeral Home LLC. announce the passing of Dorothy Burgess, age 67, of Greeleyville, SC who entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at McLeod Health Clarendon in Manning, SC. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

Obituary
Dorothy Ann Brockington Burgess was born on December 16, 1957, in Williamsburg County, Kingstree, SC to the late James Francis Brockington and Daisy Bell Murphy Brockington. She entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Dorothy married Tommy James Burgess and from this union two children were born.
Dorothy received her formal education in the public school system of Williamsburg County, South Carolina. Even though she did not finish school, Dorothy was so determined to finish school that later in life she went back to school and finished, graduating with her class, by receiving her GED in 2001 from Adult Education in Kingstree, SC.
Dorothy was always the “life of any party”. She’d get the party started and kept it going until she was ready to shut it down. She always kept a beautiful smile on her face no matter how she felt. Dorothy enjoyed laughing and having good conversations with family and friends. She enjoyed and loved having fun in life. She also enjoyed fishing, planting pretty flowers and gardening before her health started to decline. Most of all, she loved her family and friends, she made and left her mark everywhere and with anyone she encountered.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny James and James, Jr. Brockington. Stepmother, Margaret Cooper Brockington and her husband, Tommy James Burgess.
Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memories two daughters, Rosa Mae Burgess of Florence, SC and Felicia Burgess (Sammy); two sisters, Verline (Thomas) Miller of Greeleyville, SC and Rose Marie Brockington Childers of Kingstree, SC; two brothers, Luther Brockington (Lou) of Kingstree, SC and Lerone Brockington (Nell) of Sumter, SC; six aunts, Mary Ann Wall, Mary Palmer, Ruth Murphy and Helen Murphy all of Kingstree, SC, Mary Brockington Wilson of Sumter, SC and Barbara Ann Brockington of Lake City, SC; three uncles, Levern Brockington of Andrews, SC; a special niece and caretaker, Daisy Miller Wilson of Greeleyville, SC; sister-in-law, Cynthia Brockington of Manning, SC; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Miller of Greeleyville, SC and Frederick Childers of Greeleyville, SC. and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Bobby Ray Edwards, age 80, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Regency Hospital in Florence, South Carolina.

Bobby Ray Edwards was a lifelong entrepreneur, known for his intelligence, ambition, and love of learning. He was fluent in Arabic and Spanish and earned several degrees and professional certificates throughout his life. He will be remembered for his wisdom, strong presence, and dedication to family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Evangelist Shelly Miles (Lonnie)of Virginia Beach, VA; Bobbie LeRay Edwards of Williamsburg, VA; Latonya Clarke (Dale) of North Carolina; Shannon Perry (Allen); Erica Williams; and Khaleelah Abdullah of Washington, DC. His sons: Shondell Hodge (wife) and Brien Davis. He is also survived by his stepdaughters: Latracia Frink,Teresa Frink, and Chiquita Patterson; and his stepson David Frink of Newport News, VA. He is survived by his brothers: Mahtorhee Bell Curtis of Chesapeake, VA; Minister James Edwards Jr.of Portsmouth, VA; Minister Theyartis Edwards (Julina) of South Carolina; Kevin Edwards (Paulette) of West Virginia; and Veve Edwards of Virginia. His sisters: Deaconess Gwendolyn Watkins (Joe) of Hinesville, GA; Nugene Freeman of Portsmouth, VA; Apostle Suprina Ford of the Pacific Northwest; and Tajuana Edwards of Portsmouth, VA. Also surviving is his brother-in-law, Bobby Harrell. He leaves a legacy through his grandchildren: Rickya Williams, Ryckale Williams, Kenya Williams, Ebony Perdue of Georgia; Wayne Perdue of Hampton, VA; Anthony Edwards of Portsmouth, VA; Marquise Edwards, Kenneth Edwards, Cierra Edwards of Williamsburg, VA; Shakita Olvis, Steve Olvis, Hahkim Green, Jeremiah Green of Virginia; Kwaume LaRay Edwards, Diamond Edwards, Syrenity Edwards; Torrey Davis of Newport News, VA; Erica Davis, Meshawnda Bryant, Laronda Edwards, Lakekytta Davis, Lakeisha Davis, Makell Abdullah, and Shania Abdullah.

He is further survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Special acknowledgment is given to the love of his life and fiancée, Ms. Teresa Y. Frink. Special thanks to his cherished friends who were like brothers: Hassan Shaheed, Tony (Shirley), Edward Hill, Pudding (Linda), and Kierra. He was preceded in death by his mother Bertha Edwards; his father James Edwards Sr.; his son Akbar Abdullah; his brother Roderick Edwards (Hotdog); his daughter Arsenia Edwards and son-in-love Lee Baker; his daughter Patrina Williams; his sisters Sherell Edwards and Makhinohn Harrell (Keena); his grandson Rasheek Abdullah; his granddaughter Journey Olvis; and his stepson Tyrone Frink. John 3:5–6 “YHWH answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
