🤝 A Mindful Approach to Coping With The Texas School Wide Cell Phone Ban

Name the emotion.
-“I feel anxious,” “I feel disconnected,” or “I wonder if focus will improve.”
-Naming helps you own it.

Validate your concerns.
-It’s OK to feel unsettled or nervous.
-You’re adjusting to change.

Focus on what’s within your control:
-Carry a small notebook for schedules or reminders.
-Arrange safe check-in plans before school or during picking up.

Use transitions wisely:
-Lunch conversations, face-to-face chats, or structured group time can become deeper and more present without distractions.

Practice grounding:
-If you feel overwhelmed, take a moment to breathe, stretch, or step outside for a minute.

Seek support when needed:
-Teachers, counselors, and peers are there to listen—whether you’re feeling disconnected, anxious, or just need strategies.
