UNC Health Lenoir Volunteers Join a group of dedicated volunteers!

Whether you have retired after a long career, are just beginning school, or somewhere in between, volunteer opportunities abound for everyone at UNC Lenoir. We boast over 200 volunteers working in 20-plus departments, and a summer program attracts the talents of 50 students each year. As a UNC Lenoir volunteer, you will have the opportunity to serve in many capacities that benefit patients, visitors and the community. Here are some ways you can help:
•Staff the Information Desk
•Deliver Mail & Flowers
•Admit and Discharge Patients
•Aid Families in Surgical Family Waiting Room
•Serve Customers in the Gift Shop
•Provide Snacks to Staff and Patients via the Cheer Cart
•Transport patients via the courtesy golf cart from visitor parking lot to hospital entrance.
•Serve as a member of our Volunteer Leadership Team

We are so proud of Riley, one of our wonderful teen volunteers!
Last summer, she completed our Junior Volunteer Program, and this year she started the SIS – Sisterhood in Service club at South Lenoir High School. On Friday, her club visited the hospital and handed out goodie bags to our volunteers in honor of International Volunteer Day.
Thank you, Riley and the SIS club, for spreading kindness and reminding our volunteers how appreciated they are!

🎄Spreading Holiday Cheer!

A huge thank you to all the incredible volunteers who funded the Secret Santa Project. Together, UNC Health Lenoir partnered with the Guardian ad Litem Program to support their Every Child Deserves a Christmas campaign.
Because of your generosity, children who might have otherwise gone without will experience the joy of Christmas this year. The child sponsored by our volunteers will truly be blessed thanks to your kindness. Our Director, Jane Hanrahan, and her sister helped shop for gifts this year.
