Welcome to Kirkland Sydney!

Sydney is a third year DPT student at Oregon State University–Cascades. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington and is excited to be back in the Seattle area for her second clinical rotation with Lake Washington Physical Therapy. Sydney is an avid trail runner and outdoor enthusiast and is looking forward to ten weeks of learning and growth under the mentorship of Devin.

A big thank you to the University of Montana, Sue Ostertag, Ryan Mizner, and all the DPT students who attended our lecture yesterday. UM alumni, Ben presented in PT 572 “Healthcare Business & Systems”. This began as an overview, but got pretty granular as he attempted to explain our large, confusing, cutting edge, disorienting, and sometimes disconnected path towards health. Topics covered were IDNs, AOCs, FFS, Bundled Care, Capitation, P4P, VBC, Private Practice, Hospitals, Corporate PT, Government programs, the VA, and Loan Forgiveness. Our team always appreciates to get in front of 2nd year DPT students as they begin to make their choices for affiliations with all the great clinics in the PNW and beyond.

Evin Tobey, PT has been in our group since finishing college at Colorado State. Evin was first an aide at our Kenmore location, a student in West Seattle (while at Pacific), and even worked as a PT in Kirkland. She now calls Kenmore home, the location where she began!
