As most of you probably already know, Dr. Kate retired yesterday (May 31st) after 44 years of veterinary practice, the last 25 right here at Muleshoe. She's going to miss all of her patients and their owners but it is time to move on to the next chapter of our lives.

It has been a great run and we wish everyone who has been part of it well.

Kate McCullough,DVM

Dr. Kate McCullough and her husband moved to Phoenix in 1983, three years after graduating vet school at University of Missouri. After working at several practices, she opened her own, Camelwest Animal Hospital in 1987. She sold this practice in 1998, about the the same time that she purchased Union Hills Animal Hospital at 19th Ave. and Union Hills Dr. and Muleshoe Animal Clinic from Dr. Larry McKim. The purchase of the little practice in Peeples Valley was definitely an act of serendipity, but it was what she and her family had always wanted, a small practice in the country, far but not too far from Phoenix and with temperatures far more pleasing. She still owns Union Hills Animal Hospital but she and Gerry moved to Peeples Valley in about 2003 and have become a comfortable part of this lovely community.
