It’s National Breastfeeding Week, and as a mom who’s recently welcomed another baby, I’ve been reflecting on the beauty and complexity of the postpartum journey.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t about “bouncing back.” It’s about embracing the new you—with strength, grace, and support.

💪 Breastfeeding can support weight loss in some women—but not all. Many women actually hold on to fat while nursing, as the body prioritizes milk production and healing.

🚶‍♀️Regular movement—like walking with your baby—can boost energy, support recovery, and improve mental well-being.

🥗 And when it comes to nutrition, undereating can be a problem. Too few calories can impact your milk supply and slow your progress. Your body needs fuel to heal, recover, nourish your baby, and to lose weight.

🤱While breastfeeding offers incredible benefits, we also recognize that not every woman is able to do so. What matters most is feeding your baby with love, intention, and support.

SAVE this NEW RECIPE!! 🙌 This salad is refreshing, high in protein, rich in vitamin C (for collagen production), and includes healthy fats that support skin elasticity. Pumpkin seeds add a zinc boost — another skin-loving mineral.

Summer Citrus Chicken Salad with Avocado & Pumpkin Seeds ✨🥬

Ingredients (Serves 2)

2 grilled chicken breasts, sliced (about 6 oz total)
4 cups mixed greens (arugula, spinach, romaine)
1/2 avocado, sliced
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup orange segments (or grapefruit for a tangy twist)
1/4 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
1 tbsp red onion, thinly sliced
2 tbsp pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
Optional: Fresh mint or basil leaves for garnish
Dressing

Whisk together:

1.5 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp honey (or omit for lower sugar)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Toss greens, citrus, avocado, cucumber, and red onion in a large bowl.
Top with sliced grilled chicken and pumpkin seeds.
Drizzle with dressing and toss gently to coat.
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve chilled.
