Celebrating Adoption Month
During Adoption Month, we honor the beautiful act of adoption. It's a time to raise awareness, share stories of grief and healing, love and belonging, support adoptive families, and promote the importance of safe, nurturing homes for children in need. Adoption creates lasting bonds and brings so much richness to families.
For me, adoption is especially close to my heart—I was adopted, my son was adopted, and even our cats are adopted! 🐾💜 November is also my adoption month, and I actually feel more connected to my adoption day than my birthday. Any other adoptees feel the same way?

Anger is often just the surface of something much deeper. Like an iceberg, there’s a lot going on underneath that we don’t always see right away. When we take time to look past the anger, we can start to understand what’s really happening emotionally. For me, a lot of the time, it’s actually exhaustion and overwhelm.

What feelings hide beneath your anger? Let’s get better at naming and acknowledging what we’re truly feeling. It’s a step toward handling our emotions in a healthier way. Let the truth set the emotion free.💙
