‘Twas the Fri-yay before Christmas, when all through the clinic so bright, Not a patient was stirring, given their sight. The exam rooms were ready, equipment all in its place, In hopes that the doctors would bring a smile to each face.
The patients were nestled all snug in their “beds”, while visions of numbing danced in their heads; And the techs in their scrubs, with coffees in hand, had just settled in for a day of scribing and scans.
When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the exam room to see what was the matter. Away to the tech station, I flew in a flash, In came the doctors, donning white coats like a sash.
With their vitrectomy skills so lively and quick, I knew in a moment, the doctors so slick. More rapid than eagles, injections they came, and treated each retina with skilled laser aim.
Now Avastin!, now Lucentis!, now Eylea so fine! On Vabysmo!, Syfovre! On Cimerli divine! From AMD, PDR, and CSCR!! To tears and detachments once and for all! Now treat away! Treat away! Treat away all!
And then in a twinkling, I heard on the ward, The joy of each patient, with vision restored. As I drew in my breath, and was turning around, Down the hallway the doctors came, with smiles unbound. Their skills were so legendary, their techniques so divine, They treated each retina, with precision so fine. They were jolly and kind, a wonderful sight, I knew that each patient would see with delight. They spoke not a word, but went straight to their work, and treated each retina, with a knowledgeable smirk. Then I heard them exclaim when they finished their task, Happy vision to all and to all a good sight!
